First look at Heroes season finale Episode 23
NBC Universal Media released the first images from Heroes season finale Episode 23 ‘How To Stop An Exploding Man’ slated to air May 21, 2007.
As always the images are offered in no particular order and without description -but the name, title and air date of the episode, name of the character and the actor, date it was taken and by whom. They sure have tight lips!
That’s why if always entertaining, and sure to stimulate some discussion, to try to put those images in order and speculate on what the situation on the image might be.
As mentioned in the official description of episode 23, most of the action during the season finale will take part at Kirby Plaza. And everybody knows what ‘Kirby’ refers to…right? If not: search for ‘Jack Kirby , Marvel Comics and X-Men’.
We assume this -in chronologichal order - should be the first image of the series: Peter Petrelli with Nathan. And that -on Peter’s hands- doesn’t appear to be blood, but some paint applied to help with the visual effects in post-production.
On the next image
the detail of the same picture seems to confirm it.
Another look at Peter Petrelli…
…and a closer look at the stains on his hands.
It gets even more interesting. As we know Micah Sander is Mr. Linderman’s ‘guest’, and the babysitting is -reluctantly- provided by Candice Willmer (that has the power of illusion).
During episode 21 Micah attempted to escape, unsuccessfully. It appears that this time he has better luck.
Our impression of this picture is that Jessica wasn’t very thankful to Candice for the free babysitting she provided her with…
..and, if our suspects are accurate, Candice we’ll have a fat lip that’ll last her till next season.
Look who we got here! Jessica, Molly ‘tracker’ Walker, Micah and …there goes the speculation DL will die during episode 22. He’s alive…
…but -check his hand- he’s hurt. Guess Mr. Linderman didn’t feel like using his healing power on that. Secondary note: all four of them are looking ‘up’, something important is happening.
Claire Bennet is running…
…there’s blood on the collar of her shirt.
Even HRG and Claire Bennet are looking at something happening up here, and…
… there’s blood and …
..she’s holding the gun Peter handed her during episode 21. Will she use it to shoot Peter? or Sylar? or maybe someone else? And will that be the solution…
…or the solution involves also the necessity to stop someone else?
Hiro seems to think so.
Stay tuned, that’s going to be a great ride, our Heroes will keep us guessing till the last second.

urm.. One thing about Claire having blood on her shirt.. remember Entertainment Weekly said something about her jumping down the building for a stunt or something (through a fake window, im not sure..) That could mean that she jumped down from the building, healed herself obviously, but got the blood on her clothes..
Just a speculation..
Whatsay?

i think the reason they’re looking up. just maybe. nathan must’ve been flying perhaps with peter. strangling and fighting with sylar. just a guess. ![]()

I think what they’re looking up toward is going to be Nathan thwarting Linderman’s big plan by taking Peter up into the sky to explode harmlessly in the air and sacrificing himself in the process.

Here’s what I think will happen. Peter will start to explode, Nathan will fly him up so high the explosion can only kill him.

maybe a giant mushroom they’re looking at?…hehe.

Where’s Sylar?
Billy Bob
people why are u saying that Nathan is going to fly peter up in the sky maybe peter will fly before hes exploding and Nathan will live
Veranor
Ahhhhh…
Look at the hair on Nathan! Its Sylar. It looks so convincing.
Now… it makes sense.
Sylar kills Nathan. The explosion happens just like Peter’s dream (w/o Simone and Issac).
Sylar and Nathan meet out in the street.
Peter blows up to kill Sylar.
Hiro continues his journey to kill Sylar, knowing that he can shapeshift.
Everyone else…?

I have a confussion. I hope somebody clear this up: The season finale is going to be one-hour long or two-hour long?. Cause I read somewhere that there was a misunderstanding with the last chapters and is only going to last one hour. Does somebody have the confirmation for the 1 or two hour finale from NBC or something?

I have a confusion. I hope somebody clear this up: The season finale is going to be one-hour long or two-hour long?.
Correction:
Season finale is a one hour long nail biter.
Start clearing your schedule for that evening.
Also (this is not going to please Canadians)
Global Television has episode 23 scheduled
to air at 10pm (Eastern), one hour later
than NBC.
Also tonight’s episode #22 airs
on Global at 8pm (Eastern),
on NBC at 9pm (Eastern).
I like the “Nathan flies away with peter when he is about to explode” theory, ’cause they’ve been playing with Nathan’s duality, never knowing if he is good or bad, and ultimately deciding for good is the morale and stuff but… if they explode in the air, the damage would be worse, actually.
NBC’s publicists are so efficient when it comes to leak information that are true, but also add to the confusion and fuel comments andspeculations.
But:
Simone and Isaac are in the season finale (they’re in the episode’s credits, and those don’t lie, they’re official and archived.)
On the preview of episode 22 (Canadian version)
Sylar is standing on a roof, and (this even on the US commercial) he says “Boom.”
Now, my speculation/theory is:
Hiro will go back further in time, to the famous moment that needs to be changed in order to ensure the world will be saved (October 4th?).
Keep in mind a nuclear explosion in Manhattan -even if it’s an event that could cause damage of catastrophic proportions - doesn’t equal to the end of the world…so there must be something else that needs intervention.
My theory:
Peter needs to be stopped, and that is needed on the short term.
Sylar needs to be stopped (we saw the future…right?), and that’s needed on the long term.
So our ‘Heroes’ will need to stop two people: Peter and Sylar (not one or the other, but both)
Again, that’s just my theory, and after tonight’s episode it might change.

Look at Peter’s facial espression on the second image, the image of him alone. He looks different doesn’t he? I was going to drop the ‘S’ word (Sylar), but maybe I’m reading too much into it, so I won’t.
But I just did.
