How many consumers stream TV episodes on the Internet? How many download the episodes on iTunes? How many watch the episodes using video on demand? How many view the episodes on mobile phones?…

Take “Heroes,” NBC’s signature drama. The season’s second episode of “Heroes,” on Sept. 29, was viewed about 17 million times, NBC estimates. Television viewing accounted for 12.8 million of those views. Online streams added 4 million views to the total. Paid downloads on iTunes, Microsoft’s Zune and Xbox stores, and Amazon.com accounted for 19,780 views. Video on demand added 19,438 views and mobile added 16,984 views.

definately as a UK viewer I cannot watch on Hulu or NBC so go to other sites which have not been mentioned to watch and to download. I know many people who do the same and if these viewing figures were added the actual figure would be much higher. I wish it was possible to get NBC or Hulu here in Britain as I`m sur many other countries do to so we could watch on the actual day and have our viewing added to the figures :)

Way to steal, guys. If people don’t get paid to make the show, how does it get made?

    What a idiot this Bob…
Shows such as Heroes and LOST are very popular only due to the large number of downloads over internet. I´d never pay a peeny to watch these shows. They are only good if coming for free and with no ads!!!

Fisrt of all, how about the countries that doesnt have the episodes at the very moment that they get on air.
Just because of these people that download the episodes somehow, the full group that produce Heroes wins a lot of fame and indirectly they win more sponsors and more $$$ for produce more episodes.

Even more important, do you always pay for everything that you can download from internet?? just think about it.

I never said that is good to do this, but even NBC have a video streaming with the heroes episodes, you can download them and no one complain about it, well that was before your comment my friend xD.

    Piracy isnt right.
Although ill happily admit im a hypocrit.
Your talking about sponsors? the advertisements are what pay for the show (along with other fan merchandise).

They get paid for the amount of people viewing the advertisements (i think) although i could be wrong, i think its like “how many hits you get”.

So yeah, download it by all means, then when its actually on, switch on the telly, for the commercials, u dont even have to watch it. lol
