On a previous article we announced the casting of Brea Grant as “Joy the Speedster”…and, ironically, that character’s name changed -very quickly- to Daphne.

Here’s the details, courtesy of AOL:

She’s not just fast. She’s very fast. Meet Daphne, the speedy new
character on NBC’s Heroes, who plans to give the show’s superhumans
- especially time traveler Hiro and his sidekick, Ando – a run for
their money when she debuts on the popular NBC series’ upcoming
third season, which went back into production last week. “I’m
stealing a secret that’s been kept in Hiro’s family for a long time
that he’s just now found,” Brea Grant told The Associated Press
during a break in filming on location in a high-rise building in
downtown Los Angeles. “He stops time right as I grab it, but in
that second it took him to grab it, I almost make it out of the
office.” Grant doesn’t know much about her mysterious new
character. Daphne’s superpower allows her to operate at three
speeds and leave a supersonic wake in her path when Hiro stops
time. Grant’s not sure where Daphne is from, but she does know the
Speedster – that’s what she calls herself – has been on her own for
a long time. “Her character is supposed to be Hiro’s Joker,” said
Masi Oka, who plays Hiro. “Batman has The Joker. Hiro has Daphne.
This is the season where Hiro finally finds his arch nemesis, and
it happens to be this Speedster. I kind of equate it more to Wile
E. Coyote and the Road Runner, except Daphne says more than
‘meep-meep.”‘ The third season is titled “Villains,” and will pick
up immediately following the events of the second season, which was
cut short because of the writers strike. Viewers will learn about
the fates of several characters when the show returns in September,
including who shot Nathan Petrelli.

chaba is probably some guy trying to get our hopes up with two stupid clues….

  2. Rawco says:

Who on the show is about 41 years old? Evdropr said he/she is one year younger than Ben Franklin when he retired from printing. I think that is the biggest clue of all.

  3. KDuff says:

Adam is a villain that has it out for Hiro, but This new chick has the ability of super speed, so maybe when they say Arch Nemisis it has something to do with the fact that their powers cancel each other out. Like she can move so fast that she can even move whe Hiro strops time! which would be bad ass! I just hope theres alot of Peter vs Sylar now that Peter can control his abilities. I cant wait for Volume 3!

  4. Sera says:

Heroes vol3 will be back for a season premier on the 13th (or 15th (can’t really remember)) of september for a 3 hour episode. the first hour will catch up on where season 2 left off and the nxt two hours will be the frist two episodes. Have Fun People!

  5. EternalVagrance says:

Seems like Maya will be back, considering she was right behind Sylar during the interviewing. Just Stipulating.

  6. EternalVagrance says:

Rawco, this’ll sound weird and so unreal but Matt Parkman is around that age, If you search him on Google then his Date of Birth it’ll tell you.
