When Heroes returns, actor Jamie Hector (‘The Wire’, ‘Law & Order: SVU’, Jerico) will appear on the series.
Here’s how Jamie described his role:

My character’s name on Heroes is Benjamin “Knox” Washington. I can’t really disclose much about him, but I can tell you it’s a lot of fun. So many special effects — and it all winds up looking so real.

Is NIKI coming back?

Some speculation about the future of Niki/Jessica, taken from last Monday’s ‘Watch With Kristin’ blog entry:

Is Niki coming back?
If you threatened to electrocute me with your lightning powers, I’d say…no. But I’d also tell you that doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last of Ali Larter. I’m hearing that the plan as of the last time the writers met up (prestrike) was for Niki to be dead—but for an alter ego to take over.

Kristin reveals: Who’s Dead and Who’s Not

42 Comments 05 December 2007

E!Online’s Kristin has some ‘insider’ info on the three characters whose fate is uncertain after the final episode of Volume Two: Nathan (shot to death by a mysterious killer), Niki (probably dead after the explosion) and Adam (Kensei), buried alive by Hiro.

Here’s the rumors:

Ali Larter: According to Heroes insiders, Niki is not expected to return to the show. But her devilish alter ego, Jessica? Oh yeah, we’ll see her as soon as the show comes back to the beloved airwaves—when the strike is through! At least, that’s the plan according to sources who tell me producers had “done all they could do” with Niki. Micah is not gonna be happy. But at least he’ll have Monica…

David Anders: I’d bet my beloved, signed Hiro poster that Hiro’s sworn nemesis will return. (I’ve seen that ’90s flick The Vanishing and know people can be dug up after being buried alive! Maybe we can even get Kiefer Sutherland to do the digging!) Sources tell me it’s not set in stone, but the tentative plan is for Adam Monroe to be back to torment our favorite squinty teleporter—i.e., the “carp.” Here’s hoping he does.

Adrian Pasdar: I’ve heard the production and writing staff is somewhat split as to whether Nathan should return to the show. Allow me to be the first to say WTF? Heroes without the brothers would be like Prison Break or Brothers & Sisters without the brothers: a waste of time! Surely Claire’s blood can save her own father, right?! Let’s say a little prayer for the older Petrelli, shall we?

Ali Larter and Sendhil Ramamurthy Interview

7 Comments 24 August 2007

sendhil-ramamurthyali-larterIGN TV: How far into production are you on Season 2?

Sendhil Ramamurthy: We’re in the middle of the third episode.

IGN TV: A year ago you were here with the show before it premiered, having no idea how it would go over. What’s it been like in the past 12 months seeing it explode the way it has?

Ramamurthy: Ali?

Larter: I’m always anxious to hear what everyone else says to these things. It has been an absolutely amazing year. What I think is so incredible is that I feel stimulated creatively, and we took a lot of risks on the show in the first season. And to be able to feel fulfilled on that side of it is for me the most important thing as an actor. But to also have this appeal, on this global level, is extraordinary. It’s extraordinary that we really touched a cord.

Ramamurthy: Bouncing off her and what she said about a global level, it really is like a global thing. I was traveling around over the hiatus and I was in France and England and Mexico, and everybody knew the show; everybody knew who we were. I mean it really is nuts. You can hope to be on a hit show, but to be on a show that’s kind of like branched out, like this has, I don’t even know…

IGN TV: Sendhil, I remember talking to you on the set before the show had debuted, and you were telling me how you and Milo [Ventimiglia]

Heroes: the latest news

Here is some fresh news and rumors about NBC Heroes’ Season Two. They come mostly from this morning’s on-the-set press conference, sponsored by the TCA. Masi Oka was the tour guide.

• Nathan and Peter are alive. Or better say “not dead?”. Isaac is dead but we’ll see more paintings of the future during season two.

• The series will take a four weeks break at Christmas, and another -similar- break in Spring.

• Hector Luis Bustamante (of ‘Hostage’ fame) has signed for a guest starring role that may turn into recurring

• Lyndsy Fonseca is off the show . Fonseca’s “gay cheerleader” role had to be cut after Fonseca landed a series regular part on Desperate Housewives.

• Ali’s character, Niki, will move away from the split-personality gig.

• The entire cast was present at the TCA press event on the set but Leonard Roberts (D.L. )Note this is the second Heroes’ press conference in a row without Roberts. Rumor, still going strong, is we won’t see D.L. during season 2.

• Dania Ramirez revealed that her character, Maya “..speaks Spanish, is in Central America and she’s running from the cops…”. Press notes describe Maya as “a young woman plagued by a threatening ability that has driven both her and her twin brother Alejandro (Shalim Ortiz) from their home in the Dominican Republic to make the dangerous crossing to the United States in search of help.â€?

• Zachary Quinto, asked about his role on the upcoming Star Trek movie said “Everybody else seems to have more to say about it than I do”…”I’m under strict orders not to say anything ” But the usually well informed insiders insist he got the part, and Tim Kring said “we’re in negotiations about that now” [he'll work Quinto's shooting schedule to not interfere with Star Trek's]

• Haiti, Egypt, Mexico, Ireland, Ukraine, Japan and -obviously- the US are among this season’s destinations.

• Ubisoft is finishing a deal with NBC Universal to produce a “Heroes” videogame. Official announcement might come as early as this weekend at the SDCC
