Ted, Matt and HRG are in a used car lot, and Matt tries to make a phone call. HRG stops him, saying that with the new Walker system, they need to play it safe. Meanwhile Ted warms all the snow off of a car and jump starts it-then they head to New York.

Episode 21 - The Hard Part

Sylar is in Isaac’s apartment, where he painted a picture of Ted. Sylar looks at the other paintings in the studio, and understands that the one to blow up a city will be himself, which he doesn’t understand. So he calls Mohinder, and asks for help. During their conversation Sylar hears Mohinder dialing 911, so he hangs up on him.

DL is grilling Jessica, trying to figure out who took Micah. When they conclude it was Linderman, DL leaves to find him. Jessica looks into a mirror, where she sees Niki that’s telling her to go after DL, because if he goes alone he will die. Jessica runs after DL and tells him to wait.

In NY, Candice is in an apartment watching Micah and talking on the phone with Linderman. She’s telling Linderman she thinks this is a misuse of her powers. She then switches to Niki, and goes to talk to Micah, who wants to go home. Candice tries to convince him that they need to be there, but Micah remains steadfast, so Candice gets mad and yells at him.

Episode 21 - The Hard Part

Mohinder and Thompson meet in front of the same building where Candice and Micah are. Thompson asks Mohinder if he is ready to work for his company, Mohinder replies that it is the other way around. Thompson agrees and says that the company is at Mohinder’s disposal and then takes him inside to meet Molly Walker, a girl who has the ability to find anyone, anywhere, at anytime. The problem is that Molly has a disease which stops the ability to use her power and is making her sick, the same disease that killed Mohinder’s sister. The only known cure was discovered by Dr. Suresh, but no one knows what it is or where it is hidden.

Episode 21 - The Hard Part

Flash back to Isaac’s studio, where Sylar is on the phone asking his mother if he can go visit. When the answer is appearently yes, he goes to the bathroom to get cleaned up. Meanwhile, Ando and Hiro walk in to talk to Isaac. When they find his dead body, Hiro states that everything is happening just like he saw. Sylar walks out of the bathroom and Hiro and Ando go hide behind a painting. Sylar looks like Gabriel, wearing glasses and casual clothing, but Hiro recognizes him and points it out to Ando, who swallows hard. Sylar , thanks to one of his newly aquired abilities, hears the swallow and their heartbeats. He follows the sounds, which leads him to the painting Hiro and Ando are hiding behind. Sylar says he can hear them, to come out. Then he flies the painting away, only to find that there is no one there. Ando and Hiro teleported to a store nearby, and soon later, when Sylar passes by, they follow him.

Episode 21 - The Hard Part

DL and Jessica phase into Linderman’s gallery, and begin to look around. DL finds a picture of Micah after the bomb, and Jessica finds what appears to be DL’s and her life history. DL exclaims that they were matched togeather to create Micah, and that nothing that they had was real.

Episode 21 - The Hard Part

Mohinder goes into Molly’s room to take a blood sample, and they begin to chat about the “boogeyman” -Sylar- and her powers. She says her powers don’t work right now because she is sick, and Mohinder says that he will help her.

Nathan, Peter, and Claire talk about Peter, and how he might be the bomb. Nathan points out that Peter dreamed he was the bomb, and Peter states that he also dreamed he could fly, and it turned out to be Nathan. Claire is surprised. Nathan says he will make some calls and figure this out. When Peter leaves, he tells Claire that he is impressed with her bravery. After she leaves, he calls Linderman and says that there is a problem.

Back to Sylar, who is walking down a beaten up hall, and he’s still being followed by Hiro and Ando. Sylar knocks on a door, his mom comes out and hugs him. When they go inside, Sylar pulls out a snowglobe, which apparently his mom collects. As she places it with the others, Sylar says that his father’s clock is broken and needs work. When he goes to fix it, he tells his mom that he is done traveling and might move back. He says that he just wants to be a regular watch maker. His mom says that’s not enough, that he could be president if he wanted to.

Peter and Claire go to talk to Nathan at his campaing office, but when they look inside the office they see Thompson talking to Nathan. Claire immediatly tries to leave, telling Peter who Thompson is. Meanwhile, Thompson is telling Nathan about the bomb, and about the roles to play.

Episode 21 - The Hard Part

Candice (as Niki) tells Micah she is going to shower, and he says he’s sorry about what he said earlier. Candice goes inside the bathroom, Micah turns up the volume of the TV, uses his power to disable the alarm, and runs out the door. He runs down the hall, opens up a door only to find himself inside the same room he just escaped. He leaves and continues running, openins another door, which once again leads back into the same room, only difference this time is Candice (now no longer pretending to be Niki) is out of the shower and tells Micah she can make him see anything she wants, so he better behave.

Ando and Hiro watch Sylar demonstrating his mom how he is special, and to do so he begins to turn the room into a snow globe freezing the water from a pull-out sprayer faucet. However he loses control of his powers and begins to fling objects around the room along with the snow. One object hits and wounds his mom, so she runs into her bedroom and locks the door.

Episode 21 - The Hard Part

In the next scene we see Mohinder who is working on his research. He throws papers across the room in frustration. This draws Molly’s attention, who helps him pick up the papers. She finds a photo of Mohinder’s mom still pregnant. While talking about her disease, Molly says that the antibodies are hiding, like the boogeyman. She then gives Mohinder a picture of a star, claiming it will save him from the boogeyman.

Sylar is standing outside his mother’s bedroom, she’s still locked inside. Sylar begins to tell her of his vision- asking for her help. Ando tells Hiro they should kill him now, since he’s distracted, but Hiro refuses to kill him while he is asking forgiveness. Ando gets mad and shows him the page from the comic book that future Hiro had given him-which shows Sylar killing Ando. Meanwhile, Sylar’s mom comes out and informs her son that she is leaving, and when she returns, that he will not be here. Sylar tries to stop her and talk to her, but she picks up sewing scissors. The two wrestle, and Sylar ends up stabbing his mom in the heart. As she begins to fall-the whole room freezes, and Hiro walks in. He apologizes and goes to strike Sylar, but at the last second Sylar unfreezes and grabs the sword. He recognizes Hiro’s heartbeat from Isaac’s apartment and asks Hiro why he is following him. Hiro says that’s because he is a bad man and must be stopped. Sylar tells him to do it, but doesn’t let go of the sword. Sylar then calls him a coward and begins to freeze the sword,

but Ando runs in and Hiro teleports them both out and back to NY, but the blade of the sword is now broken in half.

Back at the Petrellis, Peter finds a gun in his drawer and hands it to Claire, telling her that if he can’t control Ted’s power, she needs to kill him. Claire is recluctant first but then she takes the gun when Peter shows her a pic of Ted he drew on his sketchbook. The two head out to find him.

Episode 21 - The Hard Part

Mama Petrelli visits Nathan in his office, saying that she got a phone call from Linderman saying that Nathan was getting cold feet and reveals that she is part of the plot to blow up half the city. She tells him to have faith so that he can give the world faith after the explosion, and that he neads to be the strong leader that they all will need.

Sylar is kneeling on the floor, painting a picture with his mom’s blood. When he finishes, he says that she was right, and that he can be president.

Peter and Claire are waiting in the same plaza - Kirby Plaza - where Mohinder met Thompson. Claire admits that before she met Peter, she hurt everyone that she loved by trying to be normal, and that she never felt like she belonged, not until she meet Peter. Peter says that he felt the same. Claire spots her dad, and runs up to him, surprising Matt and Ted. Peter nods at Matt, then at Ted… and Peter’s hands start to glow.

I don’t want to be an ass but a simple copy & paste in Word would reveal the spelling mistakes in the recap. Being one of the main heroes site its important to have grammatically correct recaps. Other than that, nice recap, great episode.

Technically, uncles and aunts can be any age when compared to their nieces and nephews. For instance, my sister-in-law is going to be 12 when she becomes an aunt. So when my kid is 16 or 17 (aka Claire’s age), she’ll be 28 or 29 (aka Peter’s age).

who cares if there are multiple grammatical errors. The point is to recount it and im sure it was done late last night.

You forgot the part of the episode where Mohinder discovers the cure…which is his own antibodies. He was born to cure his sister.

Heres how it ends plain and simple…..Sylar lives on “he’s the main villian, can’t have a story about good/evil without the evil”. The city still blows up dispite all of their hard work “going to make a season two, have to carry on some part of the story from season one right?”. Not to mention it would be a hell of a shocker for the city to go boom when everyone thinks it won’t.

“first how the heck did sylar mess with hiro’s powers… how!1!!!… i mean if the time is stopped how can he do that.”

I dont beleive sylar messed up hero’s power as u said but either hero lost control or he didn’t want to kill a defenceless time frozen man.

I feel bad for Nathan. All he is to anybody is a puppet. Linderman is using him, his own mother is using him and now Sylar will use him so that he can kill him and be President. That’s some BULL S**T!!!!
Somebody save THE FLYING MAN!!

Hiro lose control of his power before trying to kill sylar. If you have a close look before the time got unfrost, Hiro closed his eyes like he weas concentrating, so he:
a) unfroze time because he didn’t want to kill the defenseless sylar or

b) because it wasn’t the time of sylar death (according to Isaac’s new comic), and unconsciusly hiro lose control of his power and time was unfroze.

(I apologize for my awful grammar and use of english, I’m Chilean and English it’s my 2nd language)

Hiro doesn’t want to kill a defenseless person. Right before he went in he said that Future Hiro forgot that killing is supposed to be hard and that he doesn’t want to become the person he saw in the future, so of course he won’t kill a defenseless person.

I’m pretty sure if the next episode or two his father comes in and teaches Hiro how to keep the pimp hand strong and not lose his resolve when fighting Sylar. We know next to nothing about his father but with what we do know, it’s relatively safe to assume that he knows about people with abilities, possibly that Hiro has abilities, and how to deal with these people.

Hopefully Hiro’ll be able to change the future, I really don’t want to see Sylar become the president and kill all these characters from season 1. Having the evil dude as the president isn’t a very interesting plot IMO, not very different from real life am I right (ba-doom bing), anyways Isaac did tell Sylar that they find a way to kill him, hopefully he meant that in a “to change the future” sort of way instead of a “when you’re old and grey” way. We shall see!
