Heroes Volume 2 Episode 9 CAUTIONARY TALES recap
The Bennet family is packing their things for moving. Claire is wearing her new cheerleader uniform. Noah wants her to take it off and get ready to leave, but she refuses and tells him he abducted West. He wants to tie her, but Sandra interrupts then Claire leaves.

Tokyo, Japan: It’s Kaito’s funeral. Hiro needs to make a traditional speech, but he can’t. He goes back to a week ago, New York City on top of the Deveaux building. He notices Kaito and Angela talking.
Brooklyn, NY: Molly wants to help Matt find the other people on the photo, but Matt refuses. He says Molly needs to be a normal little girl and, with his power, puts the thought into her head.

Costa Verde, CA: Mohinder meets his new partner, Elle, who is Bob’s daughter. She does a little demonstration, breaking a glass.

Claire finds West. They talk about Claire didn’t know the things Noah did and she wasn’t involved. West doesn’ believe her, flies away and we can see that Claire has formed the word “sorry” from stones.
Matt in the office, talking to his boss. His boss tells him let it go, because his job is at stake. Then Matt puts a thought into his head to give him 24 hours and let him talk to Angela again.
Costa Verde, CA: Noah finds West’s picture and shows the picture to Sandra. She wants to leave him, but Noah shows her the image of his death painted by Isaac. He says he needs to talk to West. He calls Mohinder, asking him to find West through Molly. Mohinder tells Bob what Noah wanted from him and adds they could give Noah a false location to isolate him so they don’t have to kill him.
New York, one week ago: Hiro tells Kaito he wants to save him, because he comes from Kaito’s funeral. Kaito seems to accept his death, but Hiro teleports them out.
Costa Verde, CA: Noah goes to find West, but as he walks out, West grabs him and flies high. He asks if Claire works for him and cared about him. Noah says she never even mentioned West existed. When they get to the ground, Mohinder calls him, telling the false location, but Noah realizes Mohinder is lying, because he’s at another place with West. He tells West he needs his help, because Claire is in danger.
Meanwhile, Claire meets Bob at her school. By mistake he calls her ‘Bennet’ and Claire runs away.
Elle and Mohinder are waiting for Noah. He arrives. Mohinder asks him to give them Claire for her blood, then they return her safe, unharmed. Noah of course refuses, then Mohinder points a gun at him.
Claire arrived home, but Bob is already there and captures them. Sandra says Bob was the regional sales manager of Primatech Paper.
Noah arrived at the location Mohinder told him, where they meet Elle. We find out he knows her. She prepares to attack, but suddenly, West knocks her to the car, so she looses her consciousness. Mohinder tries to shoot Noah, but his reaction saves him, and punches him on the nose. Then the roles change. Noah almost shoots Mohinder, but West interrupts. He arrives home to find Sandra tied to the chair. They tie Elle, putting her legs in water and spraying her. She begins charging up a bolt, but the electricity goes through the water and shocks her entire body, causing her a huge pain.

Noah tells her he was there when her father first brought her in to do experiments on her then her memory had been taken out. He adds he wants to trade her for Claire. He calls Bob -who finishes Claire’s bonds- on Elle’s cell and gives him the place to meet for the trade. Bob then takes some of Claire’s blood.
Hiro took his father to 17 years ago, to his mother’s funeral. He tells Kaito, he must understand his pain, but Kaito still refuses to be saved. Hiro then runs away and meets his younger self. Little Hiro refuses to lose his father too, but Hiro tells him they cannot play God.
Noah thanks West and wants him to go home, but West says he’s the fastest way to get Claire out of there. He agrees. He wants to give Sandra a gun, but she refuses.
New York : Hiro took Kaito back to the rooftop at the night of his death. Kaito tells him, he’s proud of him. Hiro teleports out, then the misterious killer appears. As he grabs Kaito, Hiro stops time and wants to see the killer’s face. Turns out it was Adam.
Brooklyn, NY: Matt visits Angela in jail. He starts interrogating her with his power. Angela tells him, Kaito’s murderer was Adam and they locked him up because he was dangerous, they thought he was just able to heal and stopped growing old. She says he’s 400 years old and he won’t rest until all of them are dead. Matt tells her all of them are dead except she, Bob, his father and a woman. Matt couldn’t get information about her, because Angela made her a promise.

Noah, West and Elle are waiting at the place of the trade. When Bob, Claire and Mohinder arrive, Noah tells West once they get Claire, he must fly out her immediately, but Elle hears them. They release the two girls, walking to their father.

As Claire arrives, hugs Noah, then West flies her high, then Elle releases herself and hits West with electrity. West falls to the ground onto Claire, she heals. Elle wants to send a bolt to Noah, but he shoots her in the shoulder. Bob runs there to help her. Noah says if Bob die, the Company dies with him, he points his gun towards Bob and almost shoots him, but Mohinder is quicker. He shoots Noah in the eye and he dies just like in the painting. West flies Claire out there. He takes her home. She tells West the last thing she said to Noah was she hates him.

Back to Japan, Hiro in his speech refuses to eulogize his father, because if he do, he admit he is gone. As he speaks on, we see Mohinder in the van, holding his gun, Elle, looking sad; Matt looking at the picture of the twelve with the woman’s name on it -Victoria Pratt-; Hiro erasing his father’s painted name from the grave; Sandra sitting on the ground as Claire and West cuddle in bed. As Hiro ends the speech, we see an IV of blood drips into the body of Noah. His eye heals and he comes back to life, sitting up in shock.

HRG probably doesn’t need glasses as full vision probably returned, but he is not regenerative like Claire even though he has her blood.
Claire has cellular regeneration, meaning her cells die, but they grow so fast, you would never know it.
well call me crazy..but how do we know bennet is healed by Claire’s Blood and not by Adam’s

I think Noah is at the Company and he got Claire’s blood. How do I know? Just look at the walls, you can see in other episodes, it’s the same colour.
TimeTravler
It is certainly exciting to see Hiro become more disciplined and experienced-he can time travel effortlessly. The same goes for Parkman, though I hope he does not use his ‘thought-planting’ technique maliciously. West, on the other hand, seems to be lacking skill and finesse. He seems clumsy, though flying can be valuable. I am most excited about tomorrow’s episode, especially Hiro interacting with Peter and Adam. Will they fight or will they come to terms with each other?
P.S. Godsend17 brought up a good point. If it were Claire’s blood, Bob probably wanted to heal Noah out of sympathy. However, why would Bob do such a thing if his and his daughter’s life were threatened by Noah? (he was completely intent on shooting them)

I really enjoyed this episode, but I have a few thoughts…
I really don’t believe Mohinder could have shot Noah to protect Bob, which leads me to wonder, was it their plan all along?
All that keruffle with Claire’s blood for Nikki was a ruse to get Noah back for… whatever evil purpose they have up their sleeve
P.S now that Claire’s blood has healed him, will he not need to wear glasses anymore?? Shock shock horror, HRG can’t be HRG now!
