One of Us, One of Them Review
This episode has definitely left me with lost of questions. I wonder what Angela is capable of after seeing him use his “sons” the way she does. As well as having precognitive dreaming, I believe she has the persuasion power too. This season we are still trying to figure out who the older generation is and what are their plans for the future since we didn’t get to see the whole package last year because of the strike. Maybe the real villains are them, who knows.
Now let’s take a look at what has happened this episode.
Angela, mother of 3 sons, bribes his newest son with a new power (power to read the history of any object) in order to make him be Noah Bennet’s new partner and behave well. Noah has only has one desire when it comes to Sylar, to kill him. Still he takes him to the bank robbery scene, which the fugitives from level 5 have caused. He looks like he’s playing to be his mentor but I believe this is only a mask to find his weakness.
Meanwhile Peter, who is trapped in Jesse’s body, tries to keep the damage minimum in the bank. But the others eventually figure out that he’s not the real Jesse. When they attack Noah in the bank, Peter discovers Jesse’s power. Then the future Peter shows up and rescues present Peter from Jesse and takes him somewhere to show the future. Jesse, this time all himself, makes a move to kill HRG but Sylar is there to help. He captures flame throwing guy and Jesse, lets Knox escape, then takes Jesse’s power. Then the fugitives all return to level-5, including Sylar. Oh, btw the German guy with magnetic powers is dead, too bad.
Hiro and Ando track Daphne to get their part of the formula. But guess what, she has already sold it and now she’s after the other part. We welcome Haitian back to the series in these scenes as he was the one that was getting the other part back to Angela. Daphne manages to steal the second half while Hiro and Ando were discussing between themselves over Ando’s sidekick status. The friendship between these two started to crack. Probably Ando will discover Suresh’s new formula and want to taste superpowers himself.
Let’s see what our favorite police man is doing in Africa. He’s following Usutu in his spirit walk and discovers that he has drawn many drawings about Matt’s life. The events in all of the paintings have already happened except from one, Matt with a woman holding a baby. Usutu tells him the future has changed then he paints over that painting with a new one, Matt carrying probably the same woman, this time injured, in his arms. He asks if he can change the future. Usutu helps him to meditate to see the future.
Claire is tired of being the victim, she want to fight against the villains and help people. She asks for help from Meredith. But instead she makes Claire realize that she doesn’t want to help, she wants to hurt Sylar. Claire acts like she’s back to being a 17-year-old, but she drives somewhere with a Primatech box full of documents.
Nathan, with being sworn in to the congress, visits Tracy. He helps her to find Niki Sanders. When she arrives to New Orleans, she finds Micah in a funeral home. Micah confirms that Niki is dead and Tracy is not her mother. Then he helps her to discover that both were born in the same hospital at the same date, also sharing the same doctor, Dr. Zimmerman. When Tracy visits Dr. Zimmerman, he tells her that he does not only know her, but he has created her.
And now I wonder, what is Dr. Zimmerman’s relationship with the company? Is he the man that we have seen in the picture before? Has he created any other people with superpowers? Are there any more Niki/Tracys out there? Has he also created Sylar since we know nothing about his biological dad?

So did Sylar kill Jesse?
Pieper: Yeah I think she just wants to feel significant, she’s been neither here nor there so far, not really accomplishing anything. Although hopefully she can be saved from becoming cold depressed future Claire.
MasterMind: Yeah, the splatter of blood indicates he’s dead.
Man I got the weirdest vibe from Angela/Sylar I swear it was like she was going to reach over and pinch his cheeks and say “Who’s a good boy” at any moment.

I don’t want to be the grammar police, but you seriously need to re-read yourself. I don’t know if English is your main language but there’s a lot of mistakes in there…

So… is it me, or did the Level 5 villains totally suck? I had a feeling that would happen. I was like, how could Sylar who has like a million abilities be level 2 and they be level 5? Then the bank scene confirmed my suspicion that Sylar would completely wipe the floor with them. It wasn’t even freaking necessary for Angela to “feed” him.
After all the hype about the escape from level 5, it seems like their only problem is still Sylar.
That’s how I felt too MasterMind, the villains seemed like one trick ponies. The main difference is that Sylar doesn’t run around killing non-specials and doesn’t try to attract attention.
However I’m with HRG: “So to catch the psychopaths you let loose a monster?”
The feeding thing didn’t make any sense, surely there was someone evil they could feed him instead, that and there wasn’t any benefit to gaining that girl’s power. I guess it was an attempt to gain his trust, they’ll be feeding him so he shouldn’t run off, which he very easily could have after the bank.
We still have 8 villans to meet too don’t we? There were 12 in level 5? I hope they bring the guy from the webisodes in, though his power seems to be the same as jesse’s. I can’t believe they killed off francis capra so quick.
I also think there’s at least another nikki clone, the doctor called tracy a different name when she came to his door.
im obsessed with heroes, to such an extent that i forgive every plot hole and mistake that comes along the way. The scene with claire and her mom was by far the worst and cheesiest scene i have witnessed on television… ‘why do you wanna catch bad guys?’ .. bad guys ?? wtf !! Not only do humans have powers, the walkman in africa apparently has powers too…
this volume is starting to freak me out, so far everything that has worked in this volume has been a cheap shot… a quick fix at giving people what they want to see.
however saying all of that, i think this episode, barring the scenes with claire, was amazing. The villains were cool… tragedy that two of them are already dead without any story whatsoever.. but that entire scene was cool and i was waiting for sylar to kick some villains in the face. The promo for the next episode looks like gossip girl… for gods sake, are writers completely forgetting that sylar is one evil mofo. I’m still really interested as to how they’ll do this whole zimmmerman thing, if suresh will become the hulk, gollum or some twisted freak, and when peter will wake up and realise he’s also on this show.
Please dont ruin this show. it has the potential to be the next starwars, however it looks like its gonna resemble the matrix trilogy.
Sylar needs to be badass, not everyone needs to be related, claire’s mother needs to learn how to act, the writers need to come up with cooler lines than ‘bad guys’.

Sylar said Claire can’t die. But in a dream of Mama Petrelli, Claire was beheaded. Did she die? Or is her head still alive, and may take a loonngg time to make a new body like lizard when she cut her little toe? Or waiting to be connected to her body or someone’s else beheaded body?
yeah… i think that there are scenes or infos from season 2 that were already forgotten [like the scene where claire regenerated a toe and the powers that sylar took (i mean he could use again all those powers, i'm tired of the head-slashing thing)]…

okaii i love heroes etc.,
but i really think this is horrible season
just list a few mistakes there and tehre:
-future peter comes back to present day mess around the world, COMPLETELY nothing changed about him, his powers should atleast be somehow different,
- in season 1 we saw niki in the future and she was dating peter, but niki died, so how did peter and claire meet? aren’t they uncle and niece, kinda gross huh? “i always loved you”
- what happened to the coolest abilitiy? like monica, the girl who can copy physical movement
- and whoeever typed the thing about sylar being super strong, i totally agree with you its super stupid, sylar is unbeatable.
- in this episode we see claire almost dying from suffocation so she can die, and adam monroe should have suffocate in the coffin by now, but no he is alive becuz we see and angela’s dream he will team with niki/tracy (traki)
- what was the power that future peter used to pur present peter in people’s body?
- If any of you remembered in season 1 the crazy murder (when we were introduced with sylar) killed a man with freezing ability… yeah… so sylar should have that power too, but like always the cast never mention it.
- so sylar doesn’t eat the brain, he puts his finger in it and feel an orgy, and go ‘oooohh i got it’
- in episode 2 it was so fake when he turned the gun to gold… it looked the same weight when he spins it.
- the cutting ability sylar has, the bzzzz on forehead, is that a power or part of teleknsis
- haitian, after getting knocked out could not use his ability which mean- sylar can just knock him and still perform his bzzz. And no one knows the distance of Haitian ability, do we have to be close… or what? and if my power is fire and throw fire at him does it disappear or does it still work.
-HALO? what happened to the writers. where is our damn cool abilities as in creative ones? i mean evrything we see is repeptive, isaac’s paitning, elle’ blue lighting becomes ando’s red, adam= claire. there was super cool ablities before, like my FAV the persuation girl : )

- did u guys wonder how stupid DL died, he shoudl just hold on to niki both of them and use his ability then the bullet will jsut go through all of them, he CAn use his ability on many ppl he did that before
- the linderman in brain… please… can we not have psycho ass bitcchhhh again? his power was like uggh.. okaii so ur kinda like claire but kinda like sylar
- Hiro’s time ability is appeared as super weak, i mean… he can control time, he can FIX everything or change everything.
- elle’s story is getting lame because her power is lgihging and when she was strangled by sylar she couldn’t use it… should it be more automatic?
- when claire was suffocating in the huge box… the mom was like.. loolalalalalal. i am so fine…
- villains are so dumb compare to sylar… and by the way, its not his personal ability that he can get people’s power, he knows if they have it or not, but he said it whilecutting claire’s brain, a lot stuff that indicated that everyone can do the same… so 2nd sylar?… please?
- So far we know that power has levels, like how Matt discover he can control people… soo in the future can claire just cure ppl, can tracy freeze the world..
- DAPHNE asked a really good question about hiro’s power, if u freeeze time in japan does it change in AMERICA etc., question. yeah cuz if its true hiro is getting “younger” while claire and peter is getting “older” and DO U FEEEL time being freezed? cuz i mean DAPHNE DOES NOT run at the spped of light so wen hiro stopped time she should HAVE STOPPED COMPLETELY.
-Nathan can fly etc., but his power is different from claire’s ex. so is itjust ROCKET kinda way?
- how come there is so many villans on show, but we never see the officers from the company i know elle, is but how come we dunt HAVE LIKE MOREEE? a lot more, and non of them really play as a main roll (i want the specials not NOAH)
- and theres more… but i cna’t think of it.
btw ppl dun give crap like they are not perfect, i should just not watch it.
cuz this isjust suggestion, THEY MADE a show superheroes, so be serious about it then.
Those are all good p[oints but i think i mite be abl to splain some of it
1. Dl and niki were in a crowded hall way, if Dl phased it would hit someone behind him, AND someone would have seen what he could the secret would be out.
2.Theres something weird and pretty annoying abou linderman, but nathen is hullusinatin him because on some leval he believes every thins gon up in flames he wants som guidence.
3. i think that hiro can change everythin but he doesn’t want to mess up the space/time continuum1 hes not that stupid
4.She was scared, and if abilitys really are in the brain, then the fear might have paralyed her power
5. that i can’t explain, even though i did read somewhere that she was being controlled by someone named doyle
6.not sure about that one but it might have been a bit suss
7.Yeah powers have levels… whats wron with dat? it just that if two people wid da same power face off, it won’t be a totally equal battle
8.in collision future hiro froze time and gave him the save the cheerleader same the world… or was it don’t look back? well one of those, and then it crossed over to odessa and that wasn’t frozen i think that ability varys as to what the user wants.
9.i think that west just enjoys flying more slower or normaly so he can do fun things like flips and dive through clouds.
10. i wopuld like to see more of them too, we might see more patience random fan… patience

Claire doesnt want to hurt sylar, she wants to hurt everybody who is special , some sort of. Not only Sylar!
