CBR’s BEHIND THE ECLIPSE Summer Spectacular
CBR posted part 1 of Heroes Behind the Eclipse Summer Spectacular, Q&A with show writers/producers Joe Pokaski and Aron Coleite, and they pick up from where they left (the column was suspended during the writer’s strike) talking about last season and what we’ll see next season.

Question One: How long will we have to wait before we find out what happens to Nathan (and Niki)? That is, will there be a flashforward in time like in season two, with a flashback later to reveal what really happened?
We are picking up right from the moment Nathan is shot.
Well, actually, we’re picking up a few moments before.
Well, technically, we’re starting four years in the future. But that’s only until…(sigh)
Man, our show is hard to explain coyly - suffice it to say, you will learn who shot Nathan Petrelli from the proverbial get go…

I guess the episode will start with the future, where they will show Future Peter going to the past at the time just before Nathan is shot. Thus the lines “four years in the future” but “moments before Nathan is shot” makes sense

The more I hear about season three, the more excited I get. I’m thrilled to hear we will learn more about the Haitian.
it’s been so long since the 2nd season i barely remember what happenned
wow! I never would’ve guessed it’s set four years in the future and peter comes back, to shoot Nathan!

The only reason I think Nathan was shot by Future Peter would be because Nathan was just about to reveal that super abilities/powers exist, and that goes down a bad road
Why would someone who can shoot bolts of lightning and target radioactive waves use a gun to shoot someone? especially someone who’s as obssesed with his telekinetic abilities as Future Peter?

Why would he not use lightening or telekenisis to do in Nathan?
Wouldnt everyone think it was him if he shocked nathan to death or sent him flying across the room?
And wouldnt shocking nathan be really stupid as it would show the general public “special powers” exist anyway?
It did look like pete walking away though from the crowd though so dont rule it out, or it could be good old sylar doing his stuff…
Based on that spoiler, and having not read the rest of the article yet, I would say it is obvious who shot Nathan…
