First of all, it’s Kring’s f’in story, and he can do what he wants with it. Second, I wasn’t as dissapointed in the Sylar/Peter because it was obvious Peter didn’t have full control of his powers, making the radioactive/flaming hands from “five years gone” a no show. The battle from that episode (I can only imagine what that fight looked like with them both having the regen power) occuring at a later date (you know, when Peter’s repitore of powers has grown). There is no need to be negative at all about this episode or Kring.

I agree with kazmeyer. Even at the time I kind of “knew” Nathan was going to drop in and fly him up.

Now, I am also assuming that Nathan is dead, and Peter is alive.

I think that they shoulda had Niki knock that little pansy-assed, insecure, UNWORTHY, momma’s boy the eff out. HRG was there, he knew Peter’s ability would’nt work if he was unconcious (VERY smart, remember. Also, he worked for O.W.I for 14 years). No conciousness, no boom. Nathan is dead, even if he managed to let Peter go and fly off he would of been caught in the bomb, the bomb is supposed to take out New York, that in its own right is a big radius. Peter and Hiro will not die, they can teleport to another time at any time to there liking. Claire is not as important as it looks, Peter learnt enough without her. Who was Claude hiding in Company Man? Why was Sylars body not where the blood was trailing from? And who could possibly be worse than Sylar?

Saving the Cheerleader is what Future Hiro thought had to happen to stop the bomb going off. And while it didn’t turn out exactly how Future Hiro thought it would, technically, he was right. If Peter hadn’t saved Claire, then we wouldn’t have ended up where we were in the finale.

It is his unconditional love that makes him special. I would imagine this will play out further in future seasons. However, if Nathan had allowed him to explode in the city, Peter would have killed millions of innocent people. And as we saw in “Five Years Gone,” that guilt changes him into someone very cold and uncaring. So Nathan did what he did not just to save the city, but to save Peter, as well.

Quite frankly, the only place I felt the finale came up short was explaining Nikki/Jessica. I understand the power, and I know they both have access to it. But I don’t understand the split personality thing. That was the most contrived part of the whole series, if you ask me.

I am still frustrated with the big speech about Peter’s unconditional love being what saves the world - it is his brother’s love and sacrifice that save the world. Also, the cheerleader failed to shoot Peter at the last minute which is why Nathan felt the need to fly Peter away, so why is she proposed to be the one Peter had to save in order to “save the world”? I think the ending was contrived and left more questions than answers (and not in a good way). I was disappointed that Claire couldn’t go thru with their big plan, and that the show down between Sylar and Peter was pretty lame.

I don’t think peter can use two powers at the same time because of what Mohinder said about his powers. He described peter as being similar to a chameleon, his cell structure changed to match that of people around him. If this is the case, his cell structure could only support one power at a time.

i think that nathan survived because peter can do more than one power at a time. they probably flew up and peter told nathan to let him go and leave. but nathan refused and then peter made a speech and nathan agreed. then peter flew by himself while nathan fled the scene.

yes peter can do that because in the episode with claude training peter. peter started using multiple powers but couldnt control them. thats why claude knocked him out. but peter didnt need to be knocked out because he was gonna explode. by now im sure peter at least learned how to use at least 2 powers at the same time.

and thats how both brothers survive.

I found it funny that they didn’t ask Molly where Nathan and Peter were after Peter’s explosion. Also, how is Claire so calm and ready to move on 5 minutes after her best/closest friend/uncle and biological dad blow up? They don’t even try to figure out what happened? Also, arent the police a little suspcious about all of this?
