BBC invites journalists to a preview of Heroes Season 3.
From the report posted at digitalspy.uk these were the highlights:
Nathan Petrelli is apparently dead. We see him rushed to hospital, where resuscitation attempts fail. “There was nothing we could do,” a doctor tells the family.
Looks like Elle (Kristen Bell) is going to be spending a bit of time sparring with Sylar this season.
Angela Petrelli introduces us to “Level 5″, a housing place for the most dangerous criminals in the world – rapists, arsonists, killers. Presumably this is where the band of Villains escape from.
Matt Parkman is alone in the middle of a desert screaming for help.
New Villain ‘The Speedster’ steals something from Hiro and quips, “Gotta run.”
Is Sylar in league with Angela Petrelli? In one short clip he is seen approaching her from behind and placing his hands on her shoulders.
Linderman is back with a prophecy of doom. “The second coming is at hand,” he warns.
And, perhaps the most shocking tease of all: a big bald man, incarcerated in Level 5, shouts: “I’m not who you think I am. I’m Peter Petrelli…”
The third season of Heroes will play out on BBC Two and BBC Three (and BBC HD) from the end of September, with a delay of just eight days on the original US broadcast. The season will comprise two “volumes”, each containing 13 and 12 episodes respectively.

An artistic African with special abilities is to join Heroes during the upcoming third season.
The Riches actor Ntare Mwine has been cast as the new character, who is said to be close to many of the established heroes and will develop his own abilities in a nine-episode arc.

I am the only person who thinks those sound incredibly fake? It’s all stuff we’ve heard or seen elsewhere, or could extrapolate — except for the Linderman spoiler and the Peter one. And why do such a cop out with Peter by having him body swapped for whatever evil he gets up to? He’s going to be trying to avert becoming Future Peter and getting shot in the face. Doesn’t make any sense.
Are you sure he didn’t shout “I’m Arthur Petrelli”, i am still certain that arthur petrelli is still alive, so many clues…the main being the blurred face in the past generation photograph, why? its usual protocol if the character has not been cast yet…and if blurred still that means the character will be playing a part.
I hope i am right, arthur petrelli sounds a little crazy if you ask me, but other than that….
someone please tell us who ali larter is playing in season 3?!

I thought that there had already been spoilers released that indicated Nathan was infact alive (something about a bullet proof vest).
Also, how would the BBC be inviting journalists for spoilers since it’s aired first by NBC before it’s aired in Britain?
Exactly, Rose. Pretty sure those are fakes posted by someone way behind on actual spoilers. We know that Kristin Bell hasn’t actually even filmed anything yet, but this guy is going on about her working with Zachary Quinto based off of the old Jules Verne promo because he doesn’t know any better. Same with Nathan. Besides: “There was nothing we could do,” a doctor tells the family?? What family? No one is there except Peter.
Fakes, and bad ones at that.

Also: keep in mind -so far- about 5 episodes of Season 3 are ‘in the can’ (ready to be aired).
Journalists got to see portions of what’s ready so far, so they can talk about it and promote the show in their countries (regardless of the airing date-schedule in their country)
Call it an ‘advance preview for review’.

I’m jumping on the FAKES bandwagon. Having a doctor walk out and say “Nothing we could do” over bullet wounds doesn’t make sense, not to mention they already let us know he was still around.
Also Sylar would never team up with anyone, they would look far too tasty.

i can only think of a couple reasons why matt parkman would be in a desert screaming for help.
1. Maury is back and locks matt away in one of his nightmares.
2. Parkman gets teleported to the desert by.. someone.
3. Parkman loses control of his powers and traps HIMSELF in one of his nightmares.
4. He’s having a bad dream.

For those who went to CCI2008 aka Comic Con International in San Diego, CA, we got to see the released first episode of season 3..along with getting to see the cast and Tim Kring. I just wanted to note what I know from watching it.

1.He comes back alive thanks to an old friend. Peter of the future is the one who shoots him in the first place.
2. He catches peter of the future trying to find the gun he placed but peter sends him to the desert before he could attempt to catch him
3. A girl steals a formula after Hiro watched a tape his father ordered to be delivered to him. It is half of some type of formula his father had to hide.
4. There is a clip showing supposedly bad people locked up like how sylar was when they first found him. Mr. Bennett was also another person who was locked in there, and some guy who seemed to do electricity. no other clips were shown of the guy who said he was peter petrelli.
