Episode 3-01 ‘A second coming’
premiered today at the 2008 San Diego ComicCon.

The episode picks up at the end of the abbreviated Season Two, with the attempt on Nathan Petrelli’s life. Nathan flat-lines on the operating table — but then he comes back to life, pale as a Casper and twice as grateful.
Then we learn that it was Nathan’s brother Peter – from the future – who came back in time to kill Nathan, to prevent him from revealing to the world the existence of super-powered people. Matt figures it out, and gets banished to the desert for his troubles.
Hiro is in Japan, a titan of industry running his family’s company. He tells Ando he’s bored, that after saving the world — twice — he’s a man without a quest. And right on cue, he’s delivered a dvd with a message his father recorded for him before his death.
The message? On the dvd, Hiro’s dad Kaito Nakamura (George Takei) explains that he is now the protector of a secret that, if it falls into the wrong hands, could destroy the world. It’s in his safe, and he’s instructed to NEVER open the safe.
“It’s half of a formula…It’s the light, to combat darkness,” Nakamura says in the recording.
After Hiro and Ando open the safe (and get chided for it posthumously by Hiro’s father). Season 3’s new villain, a blonde named Daphne, AKA Speedster (Brea Grant) shows up and steals the formula.
Sylar’s back! He shows up and terrorizes Claire in her home in a scene obviously written by someone with affection for the “Scream” horror franchise. Their scenes together were the highlights of the episode, simultaneously tense and funny.
“I know you’re scared Claire,” Sylar says. “I would be too if I were here with someone like me.”
Claire stabs him in the heart with a huge kitchen knife. But Sylar overpowers her and then proceeds to pull a Hannibal Lector and cut the top of her head off and then pokes around in her brain and absorbs her power.
As he walks out, Claire asks Sylar why he didn’t kill her.
“You can never die, Claire, “ he said. “I guess now, neither can I.”
Like Matt the intrepid cop, Niki Sanders gets short shrift in the episode. She shows up only briefly in a hotel room, scantily clad, with a political figure (played by Bruce Boxleitner) who’s interested in the newly-evangelical Nathan.
Nathan, you see, after his near-death experience has seen the light. “We are all connected. Save ourselves. Save the World.”
Meanwhile, Suresh makes a breakthrough. After watching Maya’s powers manifest themselves, he determines that the genetic building blocks for powers lie in the adrenal glands, and triggered by bursts of adrenaline.
He sees the opportunity to create superheroes on demand, with specific powers. Maya thinks it’s going against nature, and that he should destroy it.
But Suresh juices himself anyway, and wouldn’t you know he gave himself super-strength??
The episode had two HUGE reveals.
Hiro, curious to see what the future holds if they don’t get the formula back, jumps forward and sees himself betrayed and struck down by a suddenly super-powered Ando! We get a quick glimpse of the potential Apocalypse as well.
Then, after Angela warns Future Peter that he’s messed up the timeline with his actions, we learn that Present-Day Pete has been trapped inside the body of a prisoner in Level 5 of the company, the same place HRG is incarcerated.
Fade to black, episode ends.

Future Peter is the shooter!
Nathan dies on hospital bed, but he wakes up when Peter is standing there.
We see Hiro with Ando in Japan Hiro gets a random DVD from his dad
Sylar attacks Claire he is invisible to her
Maya is with Mohinder he realizes the source of her powers and wants her to get mad
Hiro and Ando watch the DVD and his dad tells him never open the safe but he does
Then dad says I told you not to open and there is a secret formula to protect
Formula is chemistry but Daphne steals even after he stops time

Peter looks for a gun but Matt stops him
Future Peter transports into peter and tells Matt that he had to stop Nathan because future is messed up
Tmakes Matt disappear
Nathan leaves the hospital but Peter is following him to make sure that he does not tell the news reporter

Back to Mohinder and Maya nothing major
Sylar attacks Claire and gets her head cut open
He is talking to Claire and playing with her brain!!
Asks if he is going to eat it and he says that’s disgusting
He takes her powers and then saves her
Telling she is special that she can’t die and neither can he now
Maya tells Mohinder to destroy the formula he has
Peter and Nathan in hospital again nayhab says hand of god saved him
Linderman appears in his dream
Niki with a politician but she is Tracy now
Matt stuck in the desert
Hiro goes to the future and area Ando with a super power and kills future Hiro

Back at hospital Angela with Nathan
She can see the future via dreams!!

We see Knox and other villains ends with Mohinder with a power!!
im not sure if i will totally prefer the good sylar. if he’s gonna turn out good throughout the season (which i doubt), i think im gonna prefer the old, hot, baddie sylar a lot more. unless if he turns to become a morally gray person.
Omg. i read it. i shouldnt have! its amazing! and confusing wich is good! so many unexplained things are happening wich was just like season 1! yay!
i think it was unfair to give sylar claires power so early, and how the hell did he find claire, oh unless he saw her address on Mohinder,s Cpu in the last episode, reading spoilers does not affect me much, it doeant make a difference to me, still going to be excited in seeing the visuals. twisted season hope not too twsted which causes the show to become tootwisted to become unravelled, or too much story lines. i would like to soo them make use of mIcah.
Ok, so not to be naive, but this is real correct? The real whole first hour of season premiere was shown, so these are real spoilers?
I LOVE that Sylar takes Claire’s power but then still doesn’t kill her. Obviously he doesn’t know about the whole “Highlander” thing, that (according to Adam and Angela) a shotgun blast to the head or cutting the head off WOULD even kill Claire or Adam (and now Sylar). If down the road, Sylar dies in this way, he’d be really stupid.
WOW. It has officailly been spoilt. haha. but sounds really awesome. cant wait. oh boy.
now mohinder has asolution to speed up evolution, it’s like the HEROES arent special anymore. like it’s going to be a norm..
In the latest promo (and a few others) they show Angela Petrelli talking to someone tied to a bed. It’s hard to tell but I think it’s Sylar, then she says something like “You’ll have to be strong for whats to come.” I think the company may be planning to use Sylar to clean up all of the level 5 escaped prisoners. That maybe why we see Sylar standing behind Angela in the Jules Vern film festival promo… Just a theory…
dont like the fact that they figure out how to trigger super powers it means anyone can now be powered and people like suresh ando and bennet are 3 of the coolest characters because they dont have powers.
i like that future peter shot nathan to prevent something in the future thats cool and unexspected. but im still concidering wether this is all real only because thats a lot of stuff for one episode

Nah, dont complain, we’re warned by first place, but at least… for me… is not the same thing when I read spoilers, or someone tells me, it not the same read than watch and heard the show, soo, now I look forward for the episode on september 22, Im very curious for what will happen now…
Peter, well I didnt understand that part, I mean, does Future Peter has the ability to swich bodies or what, and for the man in Level 5, thats weird, besides this Future Peter is the same as season 1, because of the scar, doesnt he has regeneration, well, at least shooting his brother had the pourpose I hoped soo at least… and about the dream ability Peter has, I always knew it was form Angela or Mr Devauxe, I just knew it, Peter had first the abilities of his family members…
Claire, whow, that she is still alive, perhaps the time line of season 1 is the same, perhaps when Sylar opened Claire’s head she was still alive, that may expalin why future Claire is back… at least Sylar may have a good side, and now that he is immortal, maybe Claire and HRG will teach him to be on the good side.
For Nathan, that’s a weird one, then he dies and revives, and now that he has become an evangelistic man, the flying isnt his true power, or maybe does he have Adam’s power too, or Im wrong, because like Mohinder’s formula, the powers can be transfered, but weird of the part were Nathan said he has seen God, could he be affected of his near dead experience, or did he actually die, maybe as I have writen in my comments, his ability is like being an Angel… to fly and immortal like Peter and Claire… and now with a new prophecy about connection, saving ourselves, and the world, just like Future Hiro’s messege in season 1.
Hiro, as childish as ever, warned by his father Kaito not to open the secret formula, and did it, and get stolen by new Daphne, and goes to future for consequences and getting killed, wow. Now this time the arquitects of the dissaster are Hiro just like a little in season 2 and Mohinder, now that maybe he has discovered the formula, It must be the same, and possible Nathan for Future Peter showing up knowing that now he is not a threat, and wow, about Linderman I dont understand, he appears as a dream, of does he appears in flesh in presence of Peter, Nathan and Angela.
Well they are all back, Mohinder with power now, Nikki back, but as an other person, how could she survived, who knows, Matt, well, now because of a trouble looks were he is now, sure this season will have a lot to promise. It should have been better if it was never show the episode, but well, many of us have waited long for this, almost little 2/3 of year… but well we are all satisfied with this.
i dont really like the idea that every Heroes cast has a power now. i agree that it’s becoming a norm.. there’s nth special about it anymore..
anyway, xioh xioh, what do u mean by sylar cleaning up the prisoners in level 5?

Just to confirm these are real spoilers!!! I was there.
At one point, Claire says “are you going to eat my brain?” and then Sylar says ” Don’t be ridiculous, Claire, that’s disgusting.” (or at least something like that, not really the exact words but close).
He took off her scalp so that the brain would be visible, and after taking her power, he puts it back on her head and the scar gets healed. what i don’t really understand is how she can still talk to him as he picks at her brain o.0
Why is everyone happy that Sylar gets Claire’s powers? I think that is the worst thing they have ever done on this show. Thats what made Syalar so cool is that he had all this power yet he was still vulnerable. Now he is like unstoppable, so when Peter and Him face off no one will be able to lose. Dumb!!!
The premier will have a 1 hour long clip show or something like that, basically explaining to those who never seen the show what they missed, and then two 1 hour long episodes back to back right after that. So if you don’t plan on watching the flash-back episode, it’s two hours long. So you only spoiled the first half of the premier, don’t fret about it lol.
First of all, Sylar can still die if he gets his head blown off, this could be from a shotgun or another heroes’ power. If you remember when he and Peter fought, he used telekinesis to send glass into the back of Peter’s head. This effectively killed Peter until the glass was removed, the same thing could happen to Sylar.
About the level 5 prisoners, its just a theory, but since they escape I think the company obviously wants them detained or killed. When Angela Petrelli is leaning over someone who is tied down she says you are going to have to be strong for what to come, I think the company is planning on making a deal with Sylar where they will let him find the escaped prisoners and absorb their powers to stop them because it would be easier to control just Sylar instead of all 12 of the escaped prisoners. Maybe Sylar will take this deal because it benefits him greatly, gaining 12 new level 5 powers. Also when Angela Petrelli is talking to him she might be telling him he needs to be strong because his DNA isn’t ready to incorporate all of these abilities.
Anyways it looks like it will be an awesome season, and I’m just glad we don’t have to go through another amnesia/shanti virus phase. This will finally be more of a proper season sequel.
