Earlier this morning, NBC issued a press release announcing their mid-season schedule for January 2009. The biggest omissions for January are Chuck, Heroes, Life and My Own Worst Enemy. All of those shows, except for the recently canceled My Own Worst Enemy, will return in February. NBC was very clear in making this point. In addition to a brand new Monday night slate for the month of January, there are also some new NBC specials poised to hit the air, including two new Saturday Night Live prime-time specials. Friday Night Lights, which has been airing its third season exclusively on DirecTV, will make its return to Fridays on NBC in January.

My Own Worst Enemy got cancled? surprised… I’ve never watched it but i assumed that it was a good show
Do you guys Heroes will ever be canceled?
My Own Worst Enemy started out with potential.. but the story got pretty convoluted and incredible pretty quickly. It’s still entertaining, but I’m glad it’s being canceled because if they had to draw the story out any more it would collapse. (Just my opinion)
Musdaloose, I expect this season to be the last for Heroes, unfortunately. For some reason, ratings continue to fall even though the show gets better. I expect NBC’s patience to run out by May.
sad sack your dumb…you’re that guy that says one thing and starts bullshit on here. where do you get your facts from anyway i mean if you have the balls to say ratings are going down back it up with a source….
well, i also thought about this season being the last and it could be possible, no matter how much people love the show if NBC is losing money than they will end it, but they still have time to change this, i really love the show and almost never find problems in it so I dont know why it is failing
the ratings are down because of a poorly chosen time slot. Proof of that is the popularity of the show on NBC.com the next day.
it is on a poorly chosen time slot, it starts the same time as Mon night football.
I agree with a few of you the time slot is poorly chosen if they could do it as like a family weekend show I bet the ratings would skyrocket again. Also I agree with the fact that the ratings don’t seem to track (nor care) how many people watch this show online (which I assume is hundreds of thousands of people) because people work on monday night or a kid might not get to watch cuz his fat useless drunk of a dad is watching men throw a football back and forth (not a sports fan) I don’t watch any other shows at all and Im not joking. I work and go to college full time and I only have time for Heroes and that is all I will make time for, never watched friday night lights never watched lost, never watched prison break, and FU** reality tv.
It’s true, the show’s ratings have been declining even tho they still have a very popular fan base in my opinion. You can check it on Wikipedia.org and type in “list of episodes in the heroes series,” and it will tell you the number of viewers of each episode of each season. Ratings peak at the beginning of Season 1 and then decline but rise with the beginning of Season 2 only to decline again and keep declining until now. I really hope they don’t cancel the show. I read somewhere that the Heroes time slot on Mondays is expensive, but if the ratings continue to decline, they could just switch to a different day or something. They can’t just end it at the end of this season cuz it would leave the story open-ended like what they unfortunately did to Sopranos.
I was reading a ratings sheet a week ago. It displayed the ratings cutoff for shows that didn’t get renewed last season… Heroes had a very comfortable buffer between that cutoff so don’t get too worried about the show being canceled. If it does get canceled it will be after season 4 vol 2/3
Heroes is going strong, Season 4 “Fugitives” will hit the tv in march 09
Sylar will be the villan once again
@ Andrew
Sorry guy, the falling ratings for Heroes is pretty public knowledge. If you would like a link, here are like 3 I picked randomly out a a ton that came up in a google search. Information about this has also been published in various entertainment magazines. It’s unpleasant, but I don’t think its cause to call out someone else posting here as being full of shit. Just because your unaware of the facts, doesn’t mean its not true.

And the rating since these articles were published, haven’t shown any improvement.
It’s sad but true.
I will be really surprised if if comes back for another season after this.
As much as I love this show and watch it faithfully, I am really disappointed with the show. I’ll continue to watch, but I am not expecting a big turn around. I hope I will be pleasantly surprised and see a huge improvement, but I’m not setting myself up for disapointment.
Well as far as i read on internet, they ll be some canceled series, but heroes is safe this year, the know cancelled are:
# Pushing Daisies
# Eli Stone
# Dirty Sexy Money
# Lipstick Jungle
ig uf want the source : tvbythenumbers.com/2008/11/04/pushing-daisies-surely-cancelled-heroes-safe/7586
i love this season all except for suresh`s story but other than that its all good. lol even hiro becoming 10 years old. i like this season is good so far but i hate how the next volume will be called “fugatives”. what a ridiculous name. genesis…generations…villians….fugatives…
idk i hope they make it work but to me it sounds like jeff loeb came up with this. i love jeff loeb to death but he does tend to lean twords cheesy some times. maybe now that hes off the writting team, they can focus on quality in the show.
