I think hiro will realize that he is one Takezo kensei was one of his ancestors, probably his own father is Takezo, the tale of kensei an the dragon, remember, i think thats when her father discover he can not be killed

There is clearly blood on hiro’s sword so he does do the job on someone, but I think he kills Nathan while Peter is battling Sylar which causes Peter to loose it and blow the city. I think Hiro goes back to correct it and ends up meeting his father in the Ancient japanese past.

If you look at Hiro’s sword resting on his shoulder, the blade looks like its glistening dark red past a certain point. Now I guess this should come as no surprise, but Hiro has surely just slashed somebody.
Since Hiro no longer has the Kensei sword, it looks like the dark future surely won’t come to pass in quite the same way.

Do Sylar and Peter have a discussion? A showdown? Maybe Sylar thinks HE is the only one who can stop Peter. Or maybe Sylar thinks, “If i cannot prove a lover, than I shall prove a villain”, and with the murder of his mother doesn’t care anymore about the innocent. He thinks he is destined to be a force of nature and simply be destructive.

I knew it! Hiro time travels! In the end..

Anyway, I just had a little revelation, although it may be a stretch. Notice the title of this episode isn’t “How do you Stop an Exploding Man”, it’s “How to Stop an Exploding Man”. Again, this may be a stretch, but doesn’t that imply that they do stop the explosion.

Also, I’ve seen quotes from the writers[1] saying that Season 2 will have Heroes from Season 1 in it, as well as “a few international heroes.” Those two facts, particularly the fact that Season 1 Heroes will be in Season 2, makes me think that, although Hiro travels into the past, the whole series might not stay there. Not even close.

Notice that Claire, HRG, Niki, and all those other characters are looking up. Could it be that the explosion will happen in the sky to save New York?

Theory - Could nathan send whoever it is thats going to explode into the sky to save new york? Could be why everyone is looking up. It could be that Hiro kills Sylar, but its too late and Peter is going nuclear - Nathan takes him skyward to prevent the explosion from killing everyone.

If the explosion happens high it will destroy more … Read the Hiroshima saga again.

What I think is going to happen is, sylar will fight vs peter. (good vs bad) It will happen in the air that’s why every1 is looking up(could nathan be dead then?) HRG looks injured in that photo, but the injured photo is clearly after the ‘let’s all look up ‘ photo so the bomb doesn’t go off?

What I am suprised about is , is that DL is alive… But they said in the previews, forget everything you have learned. So some1 is gonne have a darker side… But I doubt it would be peter petrelli, I’m thinking grannie petrelli because well she’s probably the most mysterious character there is…

syler cant fight peter in the sky… couse syler cant fly… at least not yet

I think that Nathan will finally be noble and “get to be a hero”, and fly the bomb (Peter or Sylar) into space and letting it explode, thus killing himself. Or maybe Hiro travels back in time with the bomb and lets it go there. Or maybe the Haitian stops it.

they’re not in the sky, but standing on a rooftop.
anyway, I think Sylar will try to stop Peter from exploding and not the other way around.
If Peter explodes, a couple of the heroes will die and Sylar wants to get their powers first. Why would Sylar want to explode anyway? It doesn’t make sense. Peter, on the other hand, is being influenced by his mom and Nathan.
So Hiro slashes Sylar, which stops Sylar from stopping Peter.
It was kind of clear that Hiro was somehow going to end up in ancient Japan, since he’s the only hero who can timetravel and we know that the next season will take place mostly in the past. The only question is: why does he go there.

John Finn
May 20, 2007 13:18

oh, Peter should be able to timetravel too. But I don’t think he can control that power yet. So maybe he’ll be the one sending Hiro back there. or maybe not and Hiro just has to go somewhere quick to escape the explosion and ends up in ancient Japan.

Look at the last image…

Can Hiro BE Takeshi Kenzei?
Hiro is Hiro’s ancestor and that’s why the 2nd season is called Generations…

(I know that sounds like Futurama, when Fry becomes his own grandfather… xD)

You’re exactly right, but I assume most people meant “fly Peter in outer space”. That would cause death to both, but NY would be saved.

After reading and watching all the spoilery stuff my theory is simple: the explosion (because there’s going to be one) will catapult every ‘Heroes’ that’s at Kyrby Place into the past. From there -since they’ll then know what the threat is- they’ll start once again, but as a team now, to plan a startegy to save NY.

yes, and Yamagato Fellowship website (Kaito Nakamure…Hiro’s father website) has a nice page that explains it well:

If Nathan dies now, Peter shouldn’t know about it. Cause remember in the future, Peter didn’t even know that his brother was murdered by Sylar cause Sylar’s illusion tricked everyone. However, assuming that Sylar hasn’t kill Candice, I don’t think Nathan will die. If Sylar has Candice’s power, then yes.

Also, Peter is the one who explode. Pretty sure about that cause in the future, that’s the case. The current Hiro hasn’t done anything significant to change it. He even suspected the wrong person.

Hiro stabbed Sylar and Ando dies. Most probably true as well. Everything in the comic comes true no matter how Hiro tries to change it.

ok here is wat i reckon abt the bomb: IT WILL BLOODY HAPPEN!!!, u guys remember in one of the episode hiro goes back in time to save that girl woking in the restaurant??? but she ended up having sum sort of a brain problem n died anyway, that tells us u cant change the past…since we all know the bomb will happen, no matter wat hiro does, it will happen, just that the outcome will be different…

Oh another one.
I see some interesting theories.

Hiro stabs Sylar, somehow Peter will go nuclear.
Nathan will fly him up in the air.
I REMEMBER something, think about Peter’s vision, ok, Nathan said something like: ‘Let me help you Peter.’
So, maybe that means, he takes him up in the sky lol

If I understood well: ‘Five Years Gone’ was a ‘what if?’ kind of episode (’what if?’ stories are very dear to comic book writers). So that was not exactly the future, but one of many possible futures, a future where everything went the way it is supposed to go if our Heroes don’t do something about Sylar and the explosion.

Change the past: on Heroes there’s already examples of past that has been changed. ‘Future Hiro’ went to the past to talk to Peter (that saved Claire at the homecoming).

Hiro also went back to save Charlie (that changed the present since his picture with Charlie appeared by magic on the bullettin board at the restaurant).
