That’s possible.
It’s also possible that what happened
in the ‘Future Hiro’ timeline is not
what’ll happen in ‘Present Hiro’ timeline.
So both guesses might be correct.

it’s present ando talking to future hiro, thats why he looks the same as when he and hiro arrived in the loft. I can only guess present hiro left on a mission and decided ando was safer in the future

I agree with you 100%, besides we already know that most ‘heroes’ (and friends) will die in the explosion. That unless Hiro succeeds in his mission: go five year in the future, learn what went wrong and go back to the present -at the right moment - and prevent the explosion.
