LINES ARE DRAWN AND THE HUNT IS ON AS OUR HEROES BEGIN THEIR LIVES ON THE RUN – EMMY AWARD-WINNER ZELJKO IVANEK, BREA GRANT AND DAN BYRD GUEST STAR – Following a chain of unexpected events, our Heroes are on the run from their latest adversary and one of their own, Nathan Petrelli (Adrian Pasdar). After Matt (Greg Grunberg) paints a series of prophetic images, the tragic fate of someone close to him is revealed. Elsewhere, Sylar (Zachary Quinto) continues his search for his father and encounters a young outcast (guest star Dan Byrd) with information and an ability of his own. Jack Coleman, Ali Larter, James Kyson Lee, Masi Oka, Hayden Panettiere, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Cristine Rose and Milo Ventimiglia also star. Ashley Crow and Ntare Mwine also guest star.

So i dont get it. everyone is saying that peter’s power now can only hold one new power? why didnt he fly outta the airplane? why was he hanging on? i dont get why he would only be able to absorb one power as he used to absorb every power. And since when did peter have to touch someone to absorb their power? Remember the scene where he got ted’s power? he was just standing next to him. Someone please clarify. Looks like sylar is going to be the badass in this series. I heard he starts hunting peeps with powers down with the hunter soon.
ok I am going to try to shed some light on this. I think it may be that because Peter used the formula it altered his DNA to be slightly different so he gained a very similar but slightly different ability? I also think toning his ability down a notch might be good for the series.
Maybe removal of Peter’s ability weakened it. But if it’s permanent… God, please! No, I don’t want to see Peter such a sucker!
The first episode of volume 4 was really awesome. But i dont think peters power is that he only can take one power at the time or that he have to touch someone to get it. It’s maybe not just about the formula. It have maybe have to do a little with arthur and when he losed his power and the catalyst in front of peter. Or its maybe peters original power for how it is in the first. Maybe the power will be better and that he will be able to absorb the power soon but that this is how his power is in the beginning.
Anyway it is the best show ever
Ok why the hell did they take hiro now? he’s just a regular asian without powers that wants to be a superhero gosh dumb people the most he could probably do to you is slice you down with his sword that’s about it
because they never found out about him losing his ability?
ok. We won’t know about peter’s powers until we see a few more episodes. there are a lot of good theories, but I feel that people take away from their experience of the show when discussing the unexplained too much. there will most likely be some time dedicated to peter and his ability. there will also be an episode explaining why HRG is working for nathan. I hope to god its not the “i am protecting my family crap”, they need to go deeper and stop choosing that road, even though that is most likely his excuse.
Sylar is kickass. he owned all those guys. and he is getting a new friend. i am very interested to see how sylar will work with another person with abilities. the various futures seems to all be coming true (except the season 2 future, thats a fail). they are all on the run and people are beginning to turn on each other.
I like how parkman is becoming the next isaac mendez. he is starting to become a more important character on the show. very exciting. as for hiro, i dont think they realized yet that he doesnt have his powers. Nathan most likely didnt know about arthur taking his abilities away. They also didnt go after ando, so they used the information on heroes that they had before the events of Villains.
*i believe the future with hiro and ando will still come true, but the formula wont be in hiro’s hand.

I believe this is Peters “new” ability – and its kind of shit.
He also thinks so, the whole “I should have been stronger” speech when on the crashsite (he was the medic) comes to mind.
Maybe Ando will supercharge him and his ability will eventually turn into the mimicry from Season 1
or maybe he copies Sylars, and lets not forget Sylars is the same as Peters old ability, although Sylar simply isn’t “empathic” and thus can’t attain them that way because of it – Instead he dives into the brain
this episode is one of the best! its kind of weird that HRG would agree on kidnapping his former allies but i think his reason is also the same “to protect my family”. i hope Peter can get his power amplified by Ando. it would make him absorb/copy more powers and make him less lame. who could the one who flew out of the plane wearing a mask? to me the best part of this episode was when Sylar wiped out the whole troop of soldiers.
remember sylar learned how to get power with out having to kill the person but he had t go through the whole trouble of actually learning how to use it unlike when he opens the brain and finds out how the power works. I think that Peter will eventually learn how to fully conrol his power and it will turn out something like Arthurs powers?
OK .. Let start here .. Peter will always be superior to Sylar .. let me explain a few things .. if u paid attention to season 1 at all .. when peter started learning his abilities .. he had to be around them .. touch them .. and witness the power .. very first time he was with his brother .. Nathan .. he jumped but couldn’t fly .. remember Nathan had to catch him .. Then after being in his brothers arms he flew and caught his brother when he lost control .. Then claire .. He didn’t heal until after he came in contact with claire .. after a while he began to learn more about his own ability and how to harness the powers around him .. thats when he started collecting from soly being around them .. and remember he didn’t know he took ted’s power and was all surprise when his own hands started to glow .. everybody needs to shut up and pay attention to things .. im sure he can use all his powers at once .. and will learn to aborb again .. let him remember his ability .. I’m a true heroes fan .. i have all the seasons on DVD and most of season 3 episodes on my dvr .. so i reference before i speak .. Later
well said , its a similar ans. i gaave earlier, he just needs time to re adjust, thats all. New commers are always confusing themselves and making a lot of misguided theories. They need to PAY close attention to the 1 st season. gosh
How can you say peter will always be superior to sylar? Right now sylar is the most powerful hero on the show. If peter and slyar were to face off right now peter would be dropped like a bad habit. Im not sold on peter being able to have his mimicry back in full force but i do like the idea of ando supercharging his power even though it probably wont happen because ando’s a bit*h. Does anyone know what sylars father’s ability is?

I just assumed Peter found out that he can absorb the power faster if he touches them instead of waiting for his body to find it.
It’s obvious that they took Hiro because they had information that he has powers.
Not Ando because he didn’t before and only a few people know he injected himself to get powers.
I’m still hoping Micah makes an appearance. I miss that kid.
ok… so yeah real big mistake by the writers to yet again hinder peter at the start of the volume, They always seem to do it e.g V2: Memory loss in and out of the way in Ireland, V3: no powers and now V4: only Partial power. i don’t think we need to worry if peter can only use and absorb one ability at at a time and is unable to reuse previous absorbed ability’s because whole Sylar’s empathy story back in V3 has been lined up for peter to get his powers back properly, Peter simply needs Sylar.
Yeah any way not really a cliff hanger ending as i seriously doubt that their going to kill off the entire cast.
Anyway I’m looking forward to the next episode, i think it will just clear a few things up.
I totally agree with destruction360. Peter have his original power but this is how his power i from the begining. The power will develop later…

Don’t forget that Hiro is the owner of an multinational corporation. He’s got resources and connections. Both will be extremely useful if the heroes have any hope of escaping and/or mounting a counter attack. He’s also got a fairly strong moral compass, which can help keep the heroes from becoming morally gray (i.e. it’s common for people who hunt villains to become villains themselves, as both companies did). Finally, there’s the who Ando thing. The last thing Ando wants is to become a hero, especially since his only power is to be a super-sidekick. But if anyone can turn Ando into a hero, it would be Hiro, and Hiro knows it.
There are lots of places they can take Hiro now, if the writers are skilled enough. And if worse come to worse, they could give Hiro his powers back via a secret stash of the formula (see the dark future where Ando attacks Hiro) or Hiro can discover that Arthur didn’t take his powers away….only muted them. But he can use his powers if Ando gives him a booster shot whenever needs to use them.
look either way they make it work whether this is a side effect from his powers being reintroduced in way of a synthetic formula .. or he is readapting to his powers .. Peter in sense is better than sylar .. let me explain
peter may be at lost for powers for the moment but we all know peter will always have the upper hand .. if peter and sylar go 5 years witout seeing each other and continue to gain powers .. and lets say sylar gains 100 and peter only about 20 .. once they meet back up .. peter will have access to 120 abilites and sylar only 100 .. Peter uses his powers out of heart .. Sylar uses his out of guilt and remorse .. Once again that was my opinion .. people always have their own ideas and view points on how they wish it could be .. im just thinking that if the really do want this to be a great series .. they would eventually leave it at Sylar vs Peter .. and good always wins over evil .. Thats what we all wanted in season 1 .. i still want that .. the ultimate showdown .. Stealing vs borrowing .. lol

This show has great potential .. but people need to just work with what we’re given .. if this is what they did to peter .. im sure they have a good reason .. remember that the write of season 1 are writting this whole volume .. so why not just give it a shot .. if u dont like the show .. stop watching it .. and talk to urself about it .. you need to stop speaking to everyone like ur better than everyone else. We all like heroes, thats why we are here. Big Deal u own season 1 and 2 on DVD, as do most of us. And im guessing most of us have season 3 on hard drives etc. but let me explain

I agree with you Freddy, but he does have a few valid points lol. I just think there are alot of possibilites right now and if you could just predict exactly what is going to happen the show wouldn’t be worth watching. But there’s no harm in speculation =D

Heroes is probably the best show out there right now and everyone has different opinions on it so get a grip or actually losen up.
