I can only say the story writer has a dificult one here. When you include a character with time travel capabilites the story gets complex and he has to be VERY carefully because EVERYTHING MUST FIT.

First we can forget about everything we saw on chapter 20. here is my disertation about it.

Future Hiro tells P. Hiro “you are not supposed to be here”, that cleary states that F. Hiro has no memories about meething with himself.

It means that F. Hiro message to Peter in the subway has changed something.

If we remember carefully and pay close attention, it is peter petrelli, talking to P. Hiro after receiving the message from F. Hiro, who let P. Hiro know he has a sword in the future. That event triggers the P. Hiro quest to get the sword, what eventually leads hiro 5 years in the future ( by accident ) while trying to scape linderman’s security.

That reflects a change in to the “original” timeline, and explains why P. Hiro meets F. Hiro.

In future as depicted in episode 20, there is still a bomb, someone has destroyed NY. It IS peter as he tells it himself. However, that’s what happens with P. Hiro not taking any action in that “timeline” as he is now 5 years forward.

When P. Hiro gets back to the present with Ando, that future gets automatically invalid, so in that timeline we cant be sure if there is gonna be any bomb.

The only thing doest make any sense is that in episode 20 peter has that horrible scar, while from the timeline P. Hiro was comming peter already has regeneration skills, this i cannot get to fit. Too many posible explanations for this.

Any action, any interaction performed by Hiro/Ando could change anything, as far as i know about, he talks to Nathan, he tryes to kill sylar, he got his sword broke, he interacts with his father, etc.

This means after all that this season could end with NY saved or with NY Trashed, i say its 50/50.

TO BRAVEHEART:
I said “maybe” DL was dead long before the explotion. what i can asure is that in episode 20 he IS dead, sylar killed him to get his power, but we cant be sure when.

I say its more likely it happends after the bomb, cuz he still needs to meet hiro and HRG, otherwise F. Hiro would’t know about him.

Also this is my understanding of the whole timeline thing cause theres been a lot of posts about it so i might as well post mine.

Just before i satrt my understanding of how time works in “Heroes” changin something in the past simultaneously changes the future and does not create and completely new and alternate timeline.

1) The orginal Timeline
This is the timeline where future Hiro came from. Here according to Future Hiro Sylar is the bomb. This is bound to be accurate as Future Hiro said he stabbed him so if anyone is to know it would be him.

2) Altered Timeline
In this timeline Future Hiro tells Peter Petrelli to “Save The Cheerleader.” Peter does save the cheerleader which in turn would of allowed Hiro to kill Sylar as he did not acquire Claire’s power, but this was not the case. Future Hiro’s 1st intervention does not stop the bomb.

However it changes who explodes, this time it is Peter. “It was me, the bomb” said by Peter in the future, supports this idea. Though it is unknown how he exploded. Possible ideas are he overloaded with powers like in “Distractions” or he absorbed Ted’s power and was unable to control it.

In the Future it is beleived that Sylar was the bomb as Nathan had told the public he was,to protect his brother.

Peter also has a scar on his face in the future which resembles a sword injury but it is unknown if this was done by Future Hiro with his sword or a scar he received from exploding. Future Hiro has no recollection of striking Peter, but that being said he also has no recollection of Peter exploding. Possibly he does not “remember” the events of the “Altered Timeline” as he time travelled and still beleives it is basically the same time line minus Claire dying.

3) Current Timeline
Every thing that has happened to date in the series.

The last episode shows peter trying hard to contain his new atomic power, so the only way for that preview conversation taking place is that peter somehow controls his power or somebody else has stoped peter from exploding. (Claire shooting at him as peter himself told her.)

Another thing of interest is that ted wasn’t able to control his power when he got shoot back in clair’s house, neither when he is under a lot of stress. I say sylar get’s to peters head somehow, like someone already posted using candice hability.

That is sylar working his way to be president by detonating peter.

I think the key of this is finding out what is micah’s role in this hole thing, remember that micah is beeing kept by candice. I say that is sylar’s next step, sylar will get candice power and DL power when DL was trying to rescue micah, maybe sylar kills micah too, thats hard to tell.
All nikky knows is that micah and DL were killed in the NY explotion, but maybe they were dead long before the bomb exploded.

And Peter sees the future because he hung out with Issac.

I also don’t believe Petrelli Sr. killed himself. I think he was murdered.

And I think Linderman is lying. Flat out lying.

I’m a bit confused, does he mean politically or “special”. In the graphic novel series “War Buddies” we saw papa Petrelli freak out when he saw Linderman’s healing ability and i think he may have called him a freak as well.

So i see three possibilities – 1) He didn’t realize he was “special” back in Vietnam though he learned later 2) Linderman meant he was politically powerful or 3) he was bending the truth or lying to get Nathan to go with the plan.

I think there was a rumor floating out there that it was Mrs. Petrelli who had the powers, so that would explain the genetic inheritance. But who knows, it was a rumor or i just made one from a false memory =P
