Do you see the way Ms. Petrelli puts her hands on Nathan’s back? Her power must be the power of persuasion. He is clearly torn over the issue but she puts her two hands on him to push into him what she thinks he must do.
Not exactly. Remember when Sylar had the ability to stop Hiro even though he had stopped time? I think Sylar is mentally stronger than the Hatian, and can avoid being discovered. Only Peter and Hiro working together can stop Sylar because Peter can be as strong as Sylar when they are close, and Hiro can be the X-Factor.
@blacksmith
I agree with you about Candice ability is closer to Mastermind than Mystique. The trick she played with Michas mind proved it. Sylar in the future could have gotten Michas ability to communicate with technology. Haitian is a mysterious person that works for many people but mostly for his own good. He has also some magic abilities -that was hinted by Kring during a press conference at a comicbooks convention
@blacksmith: yes, I thought about that too. If Candice is not a shapeshifter, but manipulates people’s minds, this can’t work on video. Now, future Silar pretended to be Nathan using this power. But a president is on TV all the time! How does that work? People should see it’s not him. Unless, of course, he didn’t get the power from Candice, but from a real shapeshifter, who we haven’t met yet.
@TXsensein: I noticed that too. Maybe she has the power to convince people by touching them?
btw. I still hope Ando will turn out to be somebody really special.
That’s why the Hatian is no where in any of the last couple episodes, because HE CAN stop sylar. That’s how they caught him the first time. It would make it all too easy.
Also, the only reason Sylar stopped Hiro is because he got weak emotionally.
I live in singapore and we’re 2 weeks behind you in the series. Can someone pls e-amil me chapter 23 after monday’s screening. I’m so dying to know.
My e-mail is sylar6@gmail.com
@Petraul: I hear you on that theory of Sylar being mentally stronger but if you remember in the “Fallout” that Sylar was kept at the Primatech Paper company, Mr. Bennett tells him that “that his abilities won’t work here” so we could speculate with such an important guest that the Haitian, as the X-Factor (nodds to the comic book) was not too far behind to make such nothing unexpected happened. Also, but we could easily argue that Sylar was already in a weakened state because Bennett told him that “he lost a lot of blood and that they fixed him up the best they could.”
Btw how did sylar get his laser-skull-sawing finger power?
Some unexplored characters for 2nd season:
(a) Hiro’s samurai CEO dad’s history & power
(b) what’s Dead Daddy Petrelli’s power & how did he die? I think 2nd season shd go back one generation to how these moms & dads & linbderman all connected.
The Haitian works for Mrs. Petrelli and she wants the bomb to go off which is the reason the Haitian won’t go up to Sylar and stop him.
What gets me, Peter has been around Hiro, clearly he can bend space and time, he’s also been around Sylar so anything he would have, Peter would have absorbed based on what we know of Peters abilities. Why for then does Future Peter not fold space and time and or freeze any moment to go where he needs to go and re-animate time and freeze it to do the damage he needs to do.
This is where Peters Character has too many threads for them to maintain and keep continuity or rip the whole story apart baised on using every power sequentialy to achive his end result. Mix powers and abilities and Peter would have rewritten it all shortly after meeting future Hero in the subway.
That doesn’t mean I don’t love it, cause I do. Awesome show, we could pick it to death and the reality is, its better than what we give it credit for.
Homerun show outta the box.
My two cents
Oh and what I do not look forward to is the end of the conflict, Sylars death and such…
I appreciate there will be other story lines and off shoots from this series and I will look forward to it, but I just love how Sylar becomes this wicked nemesis. And Peters climb to facing off with him.
Did Peter and Linderman ever cross paths? I don’t think they did… it would be a shame if his power is to dissapear.
Would Sylar still be able to discect his brain or whatever he does?
Or would too much of it be gone from the puppet hole made for him?
Shame to see Linderman die off…
The least favorite Character for me is the cop.. I’m just not into his personality, Glad Peter has his skills now!
Here’s what is going to happen.
Sylar kills Candice. It has to be. The scene where Peter asks him for help. He was almost reluctant to say “Sylar” as if he doesn’t like saying his own name! He did the same thing in the future episode, and he did it then.
Here is what I think happens.
Peter and Hiro meet up somewhere in this episode. Hiro explains that he is trying to change what he saw in the future, and also explains about Nathan.
Peter approaches Nathan to ask for help, and Nathan takes him away from the vehicle, only to have Claire completely defenseless.
An opportunity Sylar can’t afford to lose, so he incapacitates Peter to get to Claire, and Hiro comes along and rescues her. Peter comes to, they scuffle, and Sylar runs.
They continue on to Kirby Plaza, when Peter now suddenly becomes convinced that he needs to blow up the city to kill Sylar. They fight again. Peter gets an opportunity to charge up, and so does Sylar. Time stops. Hiro approaches, and stabs Sylar, then resumes time. The Haitian is in the area, as this would most likely explain Peter’s inability to heal a scar that occurred during the battle.
Claire picks up a gun… and shoots Peter in the head. Peter dies, and stays dead because of the Haitian.
They look back at Sylar’s body… and he’s gone.
Hiro then decides he must go back to the past and change the course of events to save Peter, and kill Sylar forever.
In the midst of all of this, Mohinder learns of his sister, and she becomes one of the key protagonists in season 2.
How’s that for a theory?
so ausiello said that the bomb is a series regular and was in the pilot. can we say then that that’s peter??
i agree with the fact that sylar hasn’t killed candace yet. and yes, there are alot of loopholes with peter’s power cuz if he would just USE THEM PROPERLY the season would probably end hahaha. he’s that powerful. im excited forthe next episode!!
please please PLEASE let the showoff between peter and sylar longer this time!!
Showoff? You mean showdown? Or Faceoff?
