Hello people, were a bit behind here in the UK, but i watch all my episodes online so im in time with USA.
iv just been reading everyones comments an its great that this show is stirring up such emotion, WELL GOOD!!
anyway my theory…
in the episode 5 years gone, that was the futurre IF the bomb went off, ur all talkin about Candice’s ability bein taken, well that could be at any point in those 5 years, so speculation about wether or not her ability has been obtained by sylar is just that. but then again, Sylar also had icy hands in that episode, an Peter Petrelli had fire power, which would imply that PP had met maybe claires mum. but the power could hav been obtained from anyone if u think logically! I find it a bit hard 2 swollow the fact that the last episode will anser all the questions i have, because i dont think it will, so ROLL ON SEASON 2!!!!
i think Sylar will deffinetly be stopped by Hiro, and season 2 will bring fresh characters, well i hope so anyway, if they keep breathing fresh air into it then it can never go wrong.
great show NBC PLEASE DO US AN NBC CHANNEL OVER HERE I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

heres the problem with the story. its the fundamental peice in all of this the bomb goes off. the reason you can deduce this is because of the way they portrey time there are only a few possible ways time can work.

1. when somone from the future goes back into the past to change something that has happened and when he gets back it has changed( this is the way time works in the show because hiro gives the message to peter on the 4th in the subway he saves the cheerleader witch in the future it is revealed that she died in future hiros life and he changed it but in the 5 year episode it is already changed and she is alive so therefor if hiro ever saved the city that ais the way it would be for them in the future so the bomb has to go off cuzz that is what happenens.

2. the second way time could work is like a book the future persongoes back in time and changes it this will effect the future and when he gets back it will be the way it has always been(different from originally) but they cant tell the difference because they know nothing to prove that it is abnormal and so the person from the future will forget and it will be all normal again

3. the 3rd one is like the butterfly effect.

aslo in teh five year episode nathan the way he talks about people with abbilities is entirely different from the way syler actually thinks(and he isnt just saying it because mohinder is there) hes sayign it because at that exact molment he isnt syler the reason is that anybody can say something sarcastically or intentionally not going to procede in what they said they would do. but when ur the president what you say is taken and done so why would syler want to cure everyone. he wants to eat their BRAINZ man

Future Peter may have the scar because of the Hatian interrupting his powers afer a battle.

Or because he never saved the cheerleader, and she survived from some other means.

To me ‘5 years gone’ was so full of contradiction it was almost like some things were affected by the events of season one and some things remained to be accomplished.

My 2 cents

Everyone has been making some great speculation on the show and how it will end so far. I would like to clarify some things on the show that a group have mine has come up with while watching the show
1. The time travel aspect stays true to form and makes complete sense on the differences between the current time line and the future ( need an example watch back to the future 2 ) which fits with current studies of theoretical time travel
2. Sylars ability in the future was more shap shifting than like Candece power ( look at how many powers Sylar has gained over the series and we haven’t seen when or where he gained them )
3. Peter has absorbed every power he has come accros HOWEVER if Peter doesn’t know he has them its harder to call upon it ( look at the episode when he was training with the invisable man ( AKA DR WHO ) he used an ability and didn’t know where it had come from by accident )
4. Hiro’s dad more than likely has an ability similar to an oracle ( different than Issacs as he can see the result of any decision which is how he gained control of the company he runs )
5. If DJ and Mica where hidden by Bennet then wouldn’t it also mean that everyone would belive they where dead including jessica/Niki?
6. Sylar kills Nathan AFTER the explosian but before Nathan becomes President ( which was hinted at in the future episode ) and by doing so basically made the “Heroes” a endangered species as he wants to be the only one.
7. Nathan is the one that explodes ( at least in the future episode ) if you watch Sylar states that everyone thinks he blew up but he knows better ( and both Peter and Sylar would survive that explsion )

Now for my thoughts on tonights episode.

Nathan will probably explode but not kill anyone. Sylar will be killed, and because of this Nathan will anounce to the world how New York was saved by “Heroes” announcing their existance. The gaining of the presidential office will be a move due to that fact.

and he escapes and becomes the king of the world because saylar explodes too but more powerfull and hiro skips the esplotion

I agree with whoever was disussing Nathan choosing between his career and his brother, though I wasn’t looking at it the same way. Nathan would defend his brother. Someone else said Hiro could grab Sylar and take him to the past to blow up. What if Nathan or Peter grabs Sylar and flies away with him. Than if the bomb goes off its effects could be felt but not.07% devistation. I thought I read somewhere that the bomb goes off but doesn’t have full impact. Probably why I think this scenario is possible.

Ok i have tried to read this whole page but my eyes jus got tired lol, its great that so many people have so many opinions but i think reading all these observations and theories cancel each other out for they are not the theories of nbc writers, hell lot of these theories are way better than what nbc will aire tonight but watch and you will see who came close even though many will claim to have known all long what was gonna happen.
