“Every hero must learn his purpose. Then he’ll be tested and called to greatness.”
Those words, pronounced by Hiro Nakamura during Heroes episode 1 ‘Genesis’, sound more and more prophetic as we approach Heroes Season One finale. Hiro will soon face a challenge, and the result of that challenge will determine -and hopefully change – present and future events.
During episode 21 ‘The Hard Part’ we’ve seen Hiro facing Sylar, and the impression was Hiro lost only the first round of a long match. What could be even more important is that Hiro’s famous weapon, the sword he stole from Mr. Linderman’s collection, has been damaged, and we all know how important that sword is when it comes to boost Hiro’s self-confidence.
What’s next? (spoilers warning)
According to interviews, spoilers and images posted online the Nakamura family has been for generations involved in directing the course of history toward good.
In short: many members of the Nakamura family used their special powers to be the wind behind the course of history.
.
Kaito Nakamura ( played by sci-fi legend George Takei ‘Sulu’ from the original Star Trek TV series and movies) never left for Japan, but secretly remained in New York to monitor his son’s progress, and now he’s ready to prepare Hiro for the big challenge.
That’s why he’ll teach Hiro the art of sword fighting, and we’re going to witness that scene next Monday, May 14th, during the 22nd episode of NBC’s TV show Heroes: ‘Landslide’.
In these images , recently released by NBC, we get a nice sneak peek preview of that scene.

They should have an amazing fight where Hiro is defeated and then Mr. Sulu tells him “I am your father!”
Is it me or does anyone realise that george is holding the bo ken “wooden sword” the wrong way?
it is you
now thats what ive been waiting for.. few days to go..
Here is what I want to know, are Hiro and his dad in a place and time where they can train uninterrupted for a long time. This would allow Hiro to arrive in the present as a Master, completely ready to go. Could that be Isacc’s loft a few decades previous? There are old looking boilers, but there are also modern looking machine tools. Maybe some time in the 70s or 80s? Another possibility is that Hiro could just freeze time, unfreeze his dad and train outside of time. What’d'y’all think?
its sounds so sick when my cuz come over well watch it together
Anybody else notice that Hiro ditches his glasses during this shoot? Future Hiro doesn’t wear glasses. They looked pretty heavy, like he would be blind without them. Has someone “healed” his eyes?
Contact lenses???
I think that hiro and his dad teleport back in time… its not like hiro could learn the way of the sword in one day…
I think he takes him and his dad back in time so he has more time to learn..Its like where the hell did he get the robes…
