As most of us know, Volume 2 was heavily criticized by the fans and Tim Kring even apologized vowing to make the end of Volume 2 better and promised that Volume 3 will be even better. Thus, leading to script re-writes and also a alternate ending because of the strike allowing for Sylar to return.
What was Changed During Volume 2:
NOTE: These changes occurred for various reasons1) Kristen Bell was originally suppose to be in 8 episodes and then killed off but due to fan support they are keeping her around for a bit longer
2) Elle was setup as a Bob’s step daughter and the daughter of Meredith which in turn would have been Claire’s SISTER but they dropped it due to lack of storyline and plot holes.
3) Stephen Tobolowsky (Bob) also had a slightly different story, he was supposed to be more evil then he is now and even recruited his SON WEST to make Claire turn against her father this was dropped early in Volume 2 for “various reasons”.
Wow, so Claire was going to be Elle’s sister as Kristen Bell almost leaked when she was signed on to the cast and I never saw that West would be Bob’s Son, but it did feel like he was sent to watch Claire early on. Also, it did feel like Bob was planned to be this big EVIL character and then they backed off.
Ok now for what many of you want to know….the current direction for Vol. 3…please keep in mind nothing has been written and all of this is the “current” plan the writers have for the show. There is plenty of things that can change between now and well….whenever the show returns.

The Current Plan for Volume 3:
1) Ali Larter will return to the show (as Kristin at E!Online has already reported) but are planning to wrap up her storyline up in Volume 3. (editor’s note: Also, there are rumors floating around that Ali Larter’s evil alter ego Jessica will be a part of the Volume and not Niki.)
2) Micah’s storyline will end also
3) David Anders (Adam) will return and will meet a new friend
4) Adrian Pasdar (Nathan) well thats it up to the fans and he “might be back so don’t worry.”
5) Zachary Quinto (Sylar) will be more bad ass then ever and when we come back he will kill a star on the show
6) Villains is the start of something bigger for Heroes and hopefully it will be more fast pace than Generations (Volume 2).
or of darker storylines for the Superhero genre so it is good to hear that Adam and Sylar will be back terrorizing the Heroes.

I hope they bring back Nathan. He keeps peter in line and he is a good leader. I’m glad they killed Niki/Jessica the split personality was getting old and you never really saw her use her use her ability to good use like picking up a car all she did was rip people in half and punch doors down…bring Adam back and make him have a change of heart and start a new company with nathan, peter, hiro,claire,elle,matt,micah,monica,and mohinder. Bringing back syler was great, but i hope they have good villians in volume 3 and that they don’t reuse powers agian like nathan/west claire/adam matt/maury…i hope they also show the rest of the old generations powers like auther petrelli and kaito nakamura. (best of luck for season three!!!!!)

i think peters mam will be the bad guy for season3 with like niki,adam and sylar forming a team or something.lets hope that season3 makes up for this crap season we just had!
no offense to any of you but season 1 was so much better than season 2. Seriously, in season 1 they moved at a slow pace but left every single episode very open ended and always kept everyone in suspense. Season 2 moved too fast, it looked like they packed 5 episodes in 1. it was just to rushed
Although Generations started a little bit slow and with a lot of misteries a la Lost, it was action packed and really fantastic as usual. I wanted to know more about the old heroes though i.e. MORE answers.
I’ve always loved Jessica, the amoral character, it’ll be awesome if they team her up with the new villians.
I really hope they won’t kill Matt, his powers are the coolest of them all in my opinion
I want Bob dead actually…yes I do…he’s just annoying.
And finally Sylar is back on track! Heroes is nothing without that guy really.
Let’s hope volume 3 will come soon, but still well-planned so we don’t get sucky plots and stuff…
The only thing I REALLY wanna see in s.3 is a big fight between Peter and Sylar! And I don’t mean the the lame ass “confrontation” they gave us at the end of s.1 or in “Five Years Gone” but a real one! I mean heck these guys can do anything!

Hiro teleports Monroe into an empty coffin, where he is buried alive. Matt and Nathan fear that the Company is too dangerous. I also think season 2 was fast packed but it had huge cliffhangers at the end of nearly every episode and now that sylar is back hes going to make some hell
but please i hope they don’t kill Hiro off he is my favorite character
Hmm Well I found season 2 rather boring with large holes and limited plot lines It was almost like they were trying to rush things through and alot of it came up crappy. Also there were too many new characters introduced rather than developing the current characters on the show. Especially as some of them ie Molly were only introduced towards the end of Season 1. Also the Season 1 Characters powers should have been developed more in season 2.
Oh well hope season 3 is better – if it ever occurs

Someone above said that they should set up a rival company, i compleatly agree! they should have done that along time ago then we really would have ‘Heroes’ vs ‘Villans’.
Nikki/jessica can stay dead for i care she was probbaly the most ‘boring’ on the show.
I would like to see Clare Die in vol 3, i know people will disagree but she is just so….blagghhh. all she ever does is moan, cry and try to rebel against her farther by doing silly things any teenager could probbaly… do barr framing the drunk cheerleader… remember in season 1 when she said to peter and ted.. ‘when this is all over i’m going on petroll’ or something like that… well then u stupid blond… do it!!! In the ep ‘Powerless’ when she came on the screen i just felt like any momentum that the episode just had dropped!

I do agree with most of you when you say that the beginning of Volume 2 was slower, not to say that it was not good, I personally thought it was, but I was eager to find out where the story was really going and it was a long while before that was revealed. In the end though, Peter turned out to be a kick ass with the use of his powers…hope he keeps it up. Overall I found the ending of Volume 2 to be great and I don’t know about most of you but I was really surprised when Nathan was shot, I think my jaw actually dropped in that moment, I loved how his character grew this season and I hope he is kept around. I like Niki, but I do feel that her character does not have much of a connection with the larger plot sometimes, so if she does leave the show at the end of Volume 3, I hope she goes out big, doing what her character always seems to strive for…the right thing.
As for Volume 3, it sounds bad ass, I am looking forward to there being allot of conflict and more of the Heroes working together to over come some grand obsticale, whether it be Adam and Sylar or some other Armageddon scenario, I really think the show shines the most when the various character story lines intersect…like in Nightmare Man. I want to see some major action but not at the cost of a good story, so hopefully there will be a balance, like there usually is with this show. Here is to hoping the show comes back soon!
It would be the GREATEST SHOWDOWN ever between Peter and Sylar when they can get Yuen Wo Ping involve as a fight coreographer as he did in The Matrix.
I always dream it, since there is no REAL confrontation yet between the two.
Or the MOTION PICTURE version oh HEROES maybe?
