As most of us know, Volume 2 was heavily criticized by the fans and Tim Kring even apologized vowing to make the end of Volume 2 better and promised that Volume 3 will be even better. Thus, leading to script re-writes and also a alternate ending because of the strike allowing for Sylar to return.
What was Changed During Volume 2:
NOTE: These changes occurred for various reasons1) Kristen Bell was originally suppose to be in 8 episodes and then killed off but due to fan support they are keeping her around for a bit longer
2) Elle was setup as a Bob’s step daughter and the daughter of Meredith which in turn would have been Claire’s SISTER but they dropped it due to lack of storyline and plot holes.
3) Stephen Tobolowsky (Bob) also had a slightly different story, he was supposed to be more evil then he is now and even recruited his SON WEST to make Claire turn against her father this was dropped early in Volume 2 for “various reasons”.
Wow, so Claire was going to be Elle’s sister as Kristen Bell almost leaked when she was signed on to the cast and I never saw that West would be Bob’s Son, but it did feel like he was sent to watch Claire early on. Also, it did feel like Bob was planned to be this big EVIL character and then they backed off.
Ok now for what many of you want to know….the current direction for Vol. 3…please keep in mind nothing has been written and all of this is the “current” plan the writers have for the show. There is plenty of things that can change between now and well….whenever the show returns.

The Current Plan for Volume 3:
1) Ali Larter will return to the show (as Kristin at E!Online has already reported) but are planning to wrap up her storyline up in Volume 3. (editor’s note: Also, there are rumors floating around that Ali Larter’s evil alter ego Jessica will be a part of the Volume and not Niki.)
2) Micah’s storyline will end also
3) David Anders (Adam) will return and will meet a new friend
4) Adrian Pasdar (Nathan) well thats it up to the fans and he “might be back so don’t worry.”
5) Zachary Quinto (Sylar) will be more bad ass then ever and when we come back he will kill a star on the show
6) Villains is the start of something bigger for Heroes and hopefully it will be more fast pace than Generations (Volume 2).
or of darker storylines for the Superhero genre so it is good to hear that Adam and Sylar will be back terrorizing the Heroes.

It’s just a little obvious that Sylar is going to be with Adam Monroe. Which would totally suck if Sylar got his power. I wonder how they will wrap up Micah and NIki’s roles. That would suck even more if Sylar killed them both. By the way: either Mama Petrelli hired a hitman to kill Nathan, or it was H.R.G. – Which I kinda hate cuz I was actually hoping for them to show people what he could do. It would’ve been easier if Peter did it, cuz if Peter got shot he’d be fine. DAMN I’m SO MAD AT THAT ENDING!!
i think volume 2 sets it up quite nicely for season 3, the idea of more villans to antaganise the heroes is definately needed. i hope sylar will be as badass as every one is hoping, but i also want to see a villan that can put the fear in to peter and sylar by kicking ass, some one who could show the two most powerfull characters in heroes, who the real mac daddy is would be some sexy viewing.
When does 3 start back up? In the Spring? This wasn’t a full season…. what happened to HEROES having part one of SEASON 2….xmas break….having like a mini-series with different heroes with different abilities…that had ties to the main characters in the regular show…but none of them in the mini-series….then coming back to part 2 of SEASON 2 in the Spring….

Well, if you ask me, Nathan isn’t dead. They never said he was dead – just that he was shot by an assassin; who was Bob. You could see the haircut on the way out if you look close, least I think so.
Nikki – yeah, thank you, goodbye! I thought she had to be the most pointless character this past season.
Now Sylar – good to see him back in the saddle, but I agree – we need some ‘villains’ who could possibly stomp him, get some tension’s risin’ here.
As for Adam – he can’t die. He heals pretty f’in fast. I’ve seen Uma Thurman punch her way out of a hardwood grave in Kill Bill, I think Adam can find away out eventually.
Only thing I hope is that they bring back the steady and firm development from Season 1 (no complaints about 2, it was good, but only averagely) to really bolster the plot of season 3. How I do so love intricacies.
Sylar and Adam will team up, absolutely no margin for error there. As mentioned by somebody before, Sylar’s the only one who can hear and free Adam. Sylar will try to take Adam’s power, but Adam will heal way too quickly. Then they’ll work together to take over the world. Adam will definetely be interested in teaming up with Sylar, since Sylar has a much more grisly version of Peter’s ability. I love how he has his powers back!!!! However I reckon Adam will die at the end of the coming season. Sylar will stab him in back of the neck, Adam blacks out and Sylar will take his brain and becomes immortal. I reckon Adam may instill his God complex into Sylar and Sylar will love it!!!!!
Peter will revive Nathan with his blood. That’s obvious isn’t it?
They need to get Claire acting more like a hero rather than some teenage girl! jeez….I think we’re all sick of it by now!!!!!
Elle has already turned good! She saved Mohinder, Molly and Maya. She kinda likes it too!!!! So glad she zapped Sylar!!!! yeah we need a NEW hero with offensive powers. Mohinder should die next season, but he won’t. He annoys me to no end!
Good to see Hiro’s mastered his powers completely. Maybe he’ll help Peter retrieve Caitlin. She’s still stuck in the future….but one with no virus…
Peter’s got some wicked control over his powers now! Thanks to Adam. Nice to see that!!!! But use more of his powers please!!!! I’d like to see a little variation…and usage of 2 or more at a time like Sylar.
Season 1 was tops!! Season 2 was very rushed and very lacking. Please take your time with season 3 and make it better than season 1.

i know nikki’s storyline might not have connected very well with the others but i loved the whole nikki/jessica character. i hope jessica is brought back, since ali larter does such a good job as a villian. she is completely bad ass.
if syalr kills micah i will be heartbroken. i don’t know it that will actually be done though. a kid’s head being sliced open by a guy who steals powers? that’s a little brutal.
i definetly hope nathan comes back. i loved his character and interaction with peter. but like someone previously mentioned nathan was supposed to die some time after the bomb exploded by sylar but that didn’t happen. he was then supposed to die by the first outbreak of the virus, but that was prevented. so it seems like he isn’t going to make it FIVE YEAR FROM NOW.
can’t believe Britain is still on season 1 (mind u it finished tonight!!!) even France is ahead & they had to dub the show as well for that matter!

Volume 2 had one important thing that happened: Peter became a bad ass. Peter learned how to control his powers, and use them to get what he wants. He is no longer afraid of himself, and the next time he comes up against Sylar, it is going to be a Battle Royal.
@wireless. No I don’t think Peter can heal Nathan cos he only absorbes other peoples powers. He doesn’t have the healing blood in him.

Honestly I wish someone could kill Mohinder. I loved him in the begining but lately, especially s.2 he becsome so damn annoying! And I don’t find his storyline even the least biy interesting anymore…
Volume 2 didn’t have a problem with not being fast paced enough. it had a problem with horrible story telling. i was a RABID fan of season 1. i STRONGLY cared about the characters and how their stories would develop. this year, it seemed like nothing but short sited plots and people that couldn’t die. if it aint broke, don’t fix it TIM! BRING BACK SEASON 1’s style! Make volume 3 a WHOLE SEASON, so you have time to build and grow your characters!
I personally loved season 2, thought it was better than season 1. I would love to see Adam, Jessica and Sylar form a team. When they say sylar will kill a star, I have a feeling it will be Hiro, with the ability to stop time and go to the past sylar could prevent adam being burried alive, nicki gaining control over jessica and the whole event at kirby plaza, although i would hate to see hiro killed it would make an awesome season. And everyone is saying that noone ever stays dead in heroes….how about isaac, he isnt back, I kinda wish they didnt kill him he was awesome
