Heroes-season-two-cast-2-NBC Cheer up Heroes Fans! The long wait is almost over!
NBC has released the official description of the first episode of Volume Two. Yes: ‘Volume’, not ‘Season’, since this season might include more than one ‘Volume’ or, if you prefer, ‘complete storyline.’

Here’s NBC’s official description:

“HEROES”
“FOUR MONTHS LATER…”

09/24/2007 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Monday): AS THE EMMY-NOMINATED “HEROES” RETURNS, THE EXTRAORDINARY STRIVE TO BE ORDINARY FOUR MONTHS AFTER THE EXPLOSIVE EVENTS IN NEW YORK, BUT DEADLY NEW THREATS LOOM AS BRAND-NEW INDIVIDUALS WITH ABILITIES EMERGE WORLDWIDE — WRITTEN BY EXECUTIVE PRODUCER/CREATOR TIM KRING AND DIRECTED BY EXECUTIVE PRODUCER GREG BEEMAN —

As the second volume of “Heroes” begins, the fates of Peter (Milo Ventimiglia), Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) and Matt (Greg Grunberg) are revealed, following the horrible showdown with Sylar (Zachary Quinto) and Peter’s uncontrolled nuclear detonation miles above New York City. As everyone attempts to move on, a new sinister force begins stalking and murdering Heroes. With the family hiding in Southern California, H.R.G. (Jack Coleman) and Claire (Hayden Panettiere) attempt to live as inconspicuously as possible…which proves to be easier said than done. Meanwhile, after landing in feudal Japan, Hiro (Masi Oka) meets his hero Takezo Kensei (David Anders). Twins Maya (Dania Ramirez) and Alejandro Herrera (Shalim Ortiz) hope to make the crossing into the U.S. from Mexico, in hopes of finding help with their deadly abilities.

Dana Davis, Noah Gray-Cabey, James Kyson Lee, Ali Larter, Sendhil Ramamurthy also star. Nick D’Agosto, Lyndsy Fonseca, Cristine Rose, Barry Shabaka Henley, George Takei, Eriko Tamura and Adair Tishler guest star.

Heroes Season 2: new spoilers from Kristin

No Comments 31 July 2007

Maya-Alejandro E!Online’s Kristin in her latest colum answered a few questions from her readers and shared a few ‘insider’ information an spoilers about the second season of Heroes. Here’s the highlights of her latest installment of her column:

In the picture:
newest Heroes
Maya and Alejandro

Do you have any Heroes news? I miss that show!
The powers of new Heroes Maya (Dania Ramirez) and Alejandro (Shalim Ortiz) are connected. Dania told us this about her brother, “We need each other.” We also hear that despite reports the fraternal twins are from the Dominican Republic, they’re actually from Central America and will either be leaving from or at least passing through San Cristobal, Honduras.

Do you know anything more about David Anders’ role on Heroes?
We asked Masi Oka, “Riddle me this. White guy from Oregon. How is [David Anders] a samurai-type in feudal Japan?” He answered, “You will find out in the first episode. And it’s an answer that everyone will be happy about. Does he have any powers? Does he share any powers? We don’t know. Is he white? Yes.” Masi wins at life. By the way, for more on this Kensei fellow, check out Yamagatofellowship.org.

How is Sylar going to fit into Heroes this season?
We talked to Greg Grunberg recently, and he had this to say: “We’re still playing with some of the stuff from last year, but they’ve definitely introduced a new character, which I hope I have a big part in, that they alluded to last year. Remember, Molly said last year, ‘Every time I think about him, he can see me; he’s the bogeyman.’ There’s this character that is looming out there that’s bigger and badder than Sylar, so it’s going to be pretty crazy.” I ran that by Sylar himself, Mr. Zachary Quinto, and he said, “There’s definitely a dark new energy on the show, and it’ll be interesting to see how Sylar fits into that.”

Do you know what’s going on with the Petrelli brothers in season two? I want my Petrelli action.
So do we, so we asked Adrian Pasdar what was going on between Nathan and Peter, and we were sad when he told us, “Milo and I have not worked together in a long time…” Speaking of time, Jack Coleman tells us of the season premiere, “It’s not a direct cut in time. We’re four months in the future, and Hiro is 400 years in the past, but those timelines collide in a very dramatic way.”

What’s happening with my boy HRG on season two of Heroes?
According to Jack Coleman, he’s moved the family to somewhere in Southern California. He says, “Los Angeles would not be accurate, but not far off.” He added, “Everyone survives, but the Bennets are a very dislocated but determined group that tries to make the best of it, but old ways and old ghosts quickly come into play very dramatically.”

Heroes, Heroes, Heroes!
There will be an upcoming storyline set in County Cork, Ireland. Separately, look for a dangerous new Francophone character named Sophie. She’s the employee of a powerful, mysterious group, and she’s “not afraid to use lethal force to accomplish her mission.”

Tim Kring: Heroes’ Season 2 will have three story arcs

11 Comments 22 June 2007

Tim Kring NBC Heroes creator
At the press conference at Gower Studios in Hollywood to promote the August 28 release of Heroes: Season 1 DVD set Tim Kring spoke about doing commentary tracks for the DVD set.

He also sat down to field questions about the future of the show.

Here’s the trascript of the Q&A session:

Did you find you had more money going into the second season?

Tim Kring: One would think that… there is a natural bump in every budget, every year because of contracts and cost of living and all that stuff. We’ve been held to the standards… the good news about a second season is that you learn a tremendous amount. You learn how to get more efficient. You move faster. For us, the number of days of shooting has always been our day to push it. That usually centers around how many pages we can print. On a show like Heroes you have to remember the visual look of the show in every scene, or every other scene, there’s usually an angle or shot that you don’t usually see on television.

Are you doing anything to make sure that fans that didn’t watch last season can get caught up?

Tim Kring: That’s a big part of what we’re doing. One of the things that I learned in the first season was we called Season 1, Volume 1. It was entitled “Genesis.” It just happened to be 23 episodes long. Volume 2 is entitled “Generations” and it by no means has to be a whole season long. In fact, we’re looking at Volume 2 to end in the middle of the season. Which allows us to wrap up certain stories, which allows us to have new stories begin so you don’t get a sense that if you jump on the train, you’re aggressively being pushed off the train because you don’t know what’s going on.

Will the Second Season be two big arcs or do you not know yet?

Heroes’ Cast News from Kristin: DL, Niki, Claire and more.

6 Comments 12 June 2007

Heroes-NBC-episode-23-image Heroes starts filming new episodes next week, and ‘real‘ spoilers will start to find their way to heroesrevealed.com shortly after.
In the meantime we are keeping you up-to-date on the most recent rumors surrounding Heroes’ cast members and its newest additions. The latest news come directly from the always well informed Kristin at E!Online.
Here’s the juiciest bits of the current edition of ‘Watch With Kristin’:

Shawna in Yonkers, New York: Hayden Panettiere is back on Heroes in season two, right? Any word on what’s in store for our little Clairebear?
I asked Hayden what she wants for Claire. Here’s what she told me: “This show has been so broad, and it’s been such an incredible thing that it seems like it can go anywhere and that she can go anywhere, so I’d like to see a change of location maybe. Toward the end of the season, I’d like to see her get a little bit of a change of styleâ€â€?more sophisticated, growing into her own. I’d like to see a boy in the horizon somewhere, which I’ve heard rumors of.” Ooh-la-la!

Michael in Corona, California: Are they adding any characters on Heroes?
Yep. I’m hearing we’ll meet a new character who’s been alive for 1,000 years. And sadly, he will not be played by David Boreanaz. I’m pretty sure it’s the character David Anders is in the running for, but not sure.

Deborah in Mountain View, California: I love the Sanders family on Heroes. Are we going to see D.L. and Niki reconnect?
I asked that very question of Ali Larter and Leonard Roberts recently. Ali says: “It’s definitely a complicated situation. We deal with one character really taking a big, strong stance, so it definitely makes for a complicated affair.” And Leonard is right there with you! He says, “It’s my hope that D.L. and Niki find their way back to each other, because I think there’s something special there.”
