Mohinder loses his voice

according to Ausiello, Mohinder Suresh’s job as the show’s narrator may just have been outsourced — to an Aussie, of all people.

Says Ausiello about the potential Season 3 change-up:

“Someone may be moving in on Mohinder’s narrator turf. Tim Kring is said to be seeking an Australian Aboriginal actor in his fifties to appear in multiple episodes as a storyteller with great wisdom and a soft, soothing voice.”

Mohinder’s voiceovers is one of the show’s constants — why change it up now? Is Mohinder going somewhere?

Heroes Producer and Director, Allan Arkush Gives a Glimpse of Season 3

Last time we saw Nathan Petrelli on Heroes, he was the victim of an assassin’s bullet. Since then, the audience has been hanging in limbo wondering, is Nathan dead? For that matter, is Niki? TV Guide caught up with Executive Producer and Director, Allan Arkush, on Saturday afternoon at the The Women in Film (WIF) Actors Group in Los Angeles.

Arkush says the series, which begins shooting its next 25 episodes on May 1, will return witha bang post-Olympics, with the first and second episodes airing back-to-back. “We’re picking up exactly where we left off,” he says. “There will be some huge surprises.” One change viewers will notice is a new series regular. Though Arkush remained mum on the subject, he did talk about the types of characters that will be making an appearance. “There will be characters coming that you’ve heard about.”

Some of these could be people from the past, like the group including Angela Petrelli and Kaito Nakamura featured in the mysterious photo. “We’ll learn more about that,” promises Arkush. As to whether this will be through flashbacks, Arkush would only say, “We are going to play with time and we are playing a lot with space and where people are on the planet.”

“Villains” will take center stage in the upcoming episodes, as well as the nature of these villains being set loose. “It will be really clear who these villains are,” says Arkush. “These are not necessarily characters you’ve met already. Obviously, there’s going to be a lot of Sylar.” Will some familiar faces clumped into this category? “One of the things that strikes me as so interesting about the show (”Company Man”) was when H.R.G. says, ‘I’m very comfortable in the morally grey area,’” says Arkush. “Think about that. Just like when Nathan and Linderman were going to destroy New York for reasons they thought were correct. And who on the show seems to be able to make very hard decisions and has grown as a character? One of those people is Angela (Petrelli).”

When it comes to grey areas, will Matt Parkman be exploring his newfound power and perhaps tapping into his dark side? “Matt’s going to be flashing someplace,” Arkush explained. “It’s one of the cool surprises.” As for the characters’ powers, he says, “One of the things that we’re going to explore is the very nature of these powers — where they come from, who has them, what the different aspects are of how they each got their powers and how it affects them. That’s going to be a major storyline this year — the actual genetic essence of the power.”

Among other burning questions is, will the innocent Hiro we first met turn completely to his warrior side? “As you’ve seen before in the show, sometimes there are multiples of the same person,” says Arkush. “That’s all I’m going to say about that.” And as for “multiples,” was Niki blown into a zillion pieces? “There’s some interesting stuff there, too,” Arkush says of the storyline.

Most importantly, by saving the cheerleader, have we saved the world? “In this version of this reality we have,” says Arkush. “As the show has shown, there are multiple realities. Every time you change something, every time you step on a butterfly, you could be changing the flow of the universe. That’s the chaos theory and that’s one of the things this season is about.”

Adrian Pasdar & Milo Ventimiglia interview

Heroes star Adrian Pasdar has dismissed fan criticism of the show’s second season.

The actor, who plays politician Nathan Petrelli, said the shortened second run would “make sense” in the grand scheme of the show. Creator Tim Kring had previously conceded that several plotlines were too long-winded and had underserved the audience.

“We had to get through that to get to where we’re going to go this year,” Pasdar told DS. “I think we’ve found our footing again.”

Co-star Milo Ventimiglia said that his character – Nathan’s all-powerful brother Peter – would be a walking dichotomy in season three. “I think Peter’s going to be exploring many sides to his psyche,” he said. “You’re going to see a side of him that you’re going to love and embrace, and you’re going to see a side of him that you’re going to hate.”

Interview taped April 20 in London, England

  1. emma says:

Wasn’t it hinted that Claire and Elle were related (sister but that was scrapped) perhaps they changed their story and she is the 3rd child???

  2. really says:

tbh, i think everyone here is simply wishing that sylar was related, and that he simply was saying 3 because of claire, its not like he “accidently” let slip there is a mysterious 3rd, come on!

  3. Samaritan says:

I didn’t say that it was a fact that Sylar is Angela’s 3rd child (Awesome). I just said it is a fact that the Hatian (sp) is not. In addition to the plausibility that I noted in my explanation above, the context of my thoughts here is that I have considered this a real possibility since the end of season one.

Why? Because Sylar and Peter are opposite sides of the same coin…ying/yang….twin/doppleganger. There power is the same, but their makeup and emotional/psychological hardwiring probably act like an “inducer” (like some environmental elements can be “inducers” for certain cancers in those genetically predisposed to a given type of cancer) as to how the ability will specifically manifest….

….Peter’s passive empathy required only a given proximity to take on a power passively (w/ no harm or diminishment of ability from the donor), while Sylar’s aggressive, angst-ridden psyche manifested a more “aggresive” method of the same sort of power acquisition (with obviously far different outcome for the “donor).

  4. saballeco says:

Oh My God…the Third Summers..sorry Petrelli! …And the nominees are:
    1-Hiro; 2-Matt; 3-Sylar
    And the winner is …

  5. Jesus Ninja says:

Ok, Sylar possibly might be the third child but there are many possibilities

If Sylar is the 3rd child this could be quite booming with ratings, but remember, he did state (in season 1) that he came from an anonymous family, with nothing to do with the Petrellis when he described them. And plus, as Peter and Sylar themselves have powers in common, however, In Chandra Suresh’s book, he labeled his power (i forget what is called) something completely different, and more twisted than Peter’s. My guess is that Kring and Arkush made similar powers to make the 2 sworn enemies. And moving on to Nathan, if Sylar and Peter had the same powers and are part of the SAME family, what’s his significance if he has only 1 power.

Another theory, is that, there seemed to have been many convicts of the company’s prison district in the teaser, so maybe one of them is a Petrelli.

I doubt Hiro is Angela’s because when Hiro and Kaito Nakamura traveled back to the funeral, it was his Japanese mother, so I doubt Angela came back from the dead.

It can’t be Matt, because they have had no story-based communication and that is unlike Heroes jaw-dropping mysteries

My final theory is that the last Petrelli must have been deceased by the Shanti virus, therefore having involvement in season 2’s secrets

Overall we are most likely looking at a brand new character or claire as some of you have stated

  6. cooper says:

I AGREE WITH JAMES ON COMMENT 10 WATCH OUT FOR THE NAME ULURU (FRONT PAGE OF MICAH’S COMIC IN SEAON 1) IF HE IS INCLUDED HE WOULD BE THE MOST POWERFUL VILLAIN. IN THE COMIC HE IS A BIG ROCK SO HE MAY HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE HIMSELF INTO ELEMANTS OF THE EARTH JUST A THOUGHT
    WHAT DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK.

  7. zoot says:

what if the 3rd child was one of the villians thats been kept locked away???
could set the basis for a main villian and there revenge???

  8. chameleon says:

i think the third is sylar! it would fit with the clips video for season three that was played at what i think was comic con. in the clip angela is facing people in a dark room and then sylar steps up behind her and then to her side!!!

  9. magicman... says:

Think Adrian meant….Angela has powers like the mother of other three folks on the show, at least thats what I got from that…

  10. Samaritan says:

    To Ninja:

I don’t know if Sylar will be noted as a Petrelli or not. But for sure, your first argument, citing where Sylar described his family (”anonymous”) it completely irrelevant….

….if you’d read well my posts, you would have noted that I stated that Sylar may have been ADOPTED by his anonymous family. Furthermore, he’d prob. be unaware of his adopted state….Angela makes him aware of this, and wins him over.

As for Hiro…it’d be goofy if he were related, but the Japanese funeral example is also irrelevant. Obviously, if this idea turned out to be true, it’d be b/c Hiro’s dad had an illicit affair with Angela, yielding Hiro (I dont think this is the case, but we can’t rule it out based on the Japanese funeral info).

  11. Frank says:

He obviously slipped up and meant Nathan, Peter, and Claire, via Nathan. I think you guys are making something out of nothing.

  12. Matthew says:

I doubt that sylar is the third son though the possiblilty hasnt left my mind he might of just slipped up on his words or in fact he could of meant Claire.

Aslo he said that he tohught Angela had a power i wonder what it woud be, i dont think it has any connection to peters or nathans power coz if u look at Niki and D.L. there powers dont math with Micahs power ( strenght/multiple personality + phaseshifting = the ability to talk with computers ????? doesnt make sense) I her power will be a really good one but i wonder y she hasnt used it yes or why that red head girl ( forgot her name) didnt use hers when adam tried to kill her. Olus adam and Linderman both have powers so i have no doubt that she does.

If i had to guess i think she’d hav a kind of evil power like Mayas the ability to kill or maybe draining the life of people or something like that she just seems like the person who would

PLEASA post ideas or Angelas power.

  13. Drakan says:

Matthew, when u say “the red headed girl” do u mean Victoria Pratt? Well, maybe she didn’t use it because it couldn’t help her in that situation or she doesn’t have a power, remember, she was just a scientist at the company. As for Angelas power, i think it’s some kind of Eden power. I know, it’s boring now that Matt has a similar one, but i feel that people she’s talkin’ to listens to her more than they should.

  14. Matthew says:

Yeah i did mean victoria thanks for the name but i was also thinking along the line of a eden power something to do with control or as i said life i think victoria probably did hav a power but ur probably right it wouldnt of helped her. Just to be clear did adam manage to kill everyone on that picture accept angela and matts dad ( forgotten the name again) although matts ada is trapped in that prison he made for molly. anyway maybe if not everyone is dead they might bring them bac but i think they are. I also think they were told what to say in advance because they both said the same thing about season 3 which by the way i didnt hav a problem with. I thought season 2 wasnt as good as the first in some ways but it was still good.

  15. Adam says:

Well Sylar and Peter are only alike in that they both have multiple powers, but Sylar can see how things work and that’s how he obtained them, obviously people should know that if they’re true fans, I think Hiro is the other if there is a third, but I also think he slipped up and labeled Claire as a child and not a grandchild without realizing it.
