Heroes may end at 11th Episode

heroes-season-2.jpgAs you may know, Heroes Season 2 is planned 22-23 episodes long, but the first 11 were labeled as “Volume 2 – Generations”. The 11th episode, which will be aired on December 3rd, was planned to be the last episode of Volume 2 and the introduction to the second half of the season: “Volume 3″…

…unfortunately, that 11th episode may become the Season 2 Finale, because of the writers’ strike, again!

TvGuide’s Michael Ausiello just reported, Writers’ Strike Fallout: Heroes Prepping Season Finale :

Heroes’ second season may be coming to a close a lot sooner than expected due to the forthcoming apocalypse, also known in some circles as the damn writers’ strike.

Sources confirm that the show is going back and shooting an alternate ending to the Dec. 3 episode that, if used, would allow the episode to function as a season finale in the event of a strike. Originally, the episode was only supposed to serve as the conclusion of the current “Generations” arc. Should an 11th-hour agreement be reached and a strike averted (fingers crossed!), the alt ending would likely be scrapped.

In related news, the reality of this whole thing is only now hitting me. And I’m not happy.

Please help us spread the word…

what bullshit… why would u go on a strike and stop the airing of such a great show…. Those damn American Writers Association (or w/e they’re called) have to come to an agreement… First cancellation of HEROES: Origins now this… BULLSHIT!!

  2. Talha says:

wait. wtf is this bullshit?! what is this accosications and what do they do and how the fuck do they have to rite to pull a fantastic show off air and yank our hearts with it?! WTF is thsi american writer’s shit and more importantly where is it?! i wanna goa nd kick some pathetic ass.

  3. Duckity says:

Gah! This is terrible! Gawd, and the writers are likely to be my sort of people so I’m more in their mindset and hoping that an agreement is reached that they’ll accept because this is just bad for the network and for the writers if it goes on too long. A fair agreement should be reached and I hope that Heroes will not be sacrificed along the way!

  4. Bronzethumb says:

On one hand… this is bullshit. I hate this frakkin’ writers’ strike, even thought I’m of the opinion that their demands are perfectly reasonable.

But on the other hand, at least there would be some sort of conclusion to both Volume and Season 2. There are a lot of other shows that may not be so lucky. And at least from the sounds of things, when the strike is resolved Heroes will be returning. I imagine that networks may use the strike as an excuse to scrap low-rating series, or just series they flat-out don’t like.

  5. Rahul says:

the writers strike is affecting every network… its not a NBC thing… shows on FOX, ABC, CBS, and the CW will be affected too. The hardest hit maybe late night shows such as The Tonight Show and The daily Show as they will be forced to go into repeats imidiately if an agreement is not met

Boohoo, I love heroes. I don’t want the season to end. Can’t they just make a volume 3 within season 2!? 11 episodes in one season would ruin the consistency in volumes. Shit.

  7. Talha says:

O.O this is terrible! im going to be on the balls of my feet all week until i hear the conclusion. WHY is the american thing doing this? what is the reason? what motives do they have? hey, lets go on a strike agianst the strike!

  8. Not gonna lie, but this season of heroes is pretty bad. the first season was good, but this one is LACKING. the cgi is horrible, the acting has gone down hill, and there are WAY WAY too many characters this season. imho its a good thing they are stopping the show.

  9. Jeremy says:

Wait — “Heroes” has writing staff? Really?
Then why didn’t those writers have a plotline for the first 6 episodes? Do they know where “Heroes” is going this season?
    Thought not.
