Tim Kring: “You’re going to see a lot of bad guys…”
Tim Kring (creator and executive producer of Heroes) was interviewed at the Saturn Awards in Universal City, Calif., on June 24, where he accepted an award for best television DVD.
Tim Kring is quoted saying:
“One of the things that this volume is going to do that, I think, is really going to be fun for the audience is that there were very initial sort of primal questions that the show asked,” …“Who am I? What’s happening to me? How am I connected? Where are these powers coming from? All of those questions get reframed and turned on their head in a very interesting way in this volume.”
“You’re going to see a lot of bad guys in this one,” …”The idea, also, is we’re playing off the idea of our characters as heroes or villains. So it’s really the duality of good and evil. … We’re playing off of this duality of good and evil. All of our characters were given these powers and possess these powers, and at some point it becomes sort of free will and human nature as to what you’re going to do with that. And all of us are given the choice to make decisions that lead us down very dark paths or towards heroic ends. And so, literally, every one of our characters gets faced with that dilemma.”
“Well, we have no plans of saying goodbye to Sylar right now,”… “I mean, that was yet another silver lining for the strike, was Zach Quinto’s availability to us in the third volume. I mean, that was a huge thing for us to be able to have him back. As you guys know, he would have disappeared for a large chunk of the second half of season two. And so, for us, it was a big, big deal.”
Heroes Villains, Season 3 of NBC Heroes, debuts September 22, 2008.

hmmm, thats disapointing.
I really liked the view on the cast that the characters were only ‘Good or Evil’ depending on who you liked.
For example, in the first series one case of this was when Matt was being the bodyguard. If you liked Matt or both Niki and Matt you were scared because you could see that one was going to kill the other and Niki had more chance. As of this, your views on who YOU personally thought were heroes or villains was great.
I dont really want to see it turn into ‘Everyone’ feels they have to think of certain people as villains and heroes, turning it into something like ‘Batmans the goodie and we all like him. Joker is the baddy, we all hate him!’

i dissagree. because lets be honest if we had powers in our everyday life we would use them to our advantage. i mean for example super strenth. i personally like to get drunk and start on chavs and the fear/adrenaline starts rushing and i dont know weather im going to win or lose. if i had super strenth, drunk or not i would fuck chavs up beyond fucking repair, even if it was for no reason at all.
The one Hero i can’t imagine to be bad is Hiro, And I would like to see a Good Sylar ![]()

in season 1 they leave a questions that havent been answered like …. what peters mam’s (angela patrelli) power actually is and kieto nakamura and nicky’s father and DL’s mothers some of these questions need answering.
Sylars Dad
I like what the producers and writers are doing - they are building, i think we should be patient - in time we will see the full picture and it will be fantastic.
I say, do 5 seasons then a major movie spin off with full blown fighting scenes with all the major players….

i sa never stop hereos. go all the way to series 100000,, yeah surely we will have our good and worse series, but as long as i have heres to watch ill be happy, if they start constantly getting worse, then i keep watching but ignore the story and only remember the original ones,

sylar is one hot character as a baddie. i hope he will stay as hot if his character becomes a good person. (:

Basically I can see this series as a what if certain members decided to use there powers for evil rather then good..
Maybe who knows.
