Linderman is dead, Peter has a dark side, Sylar is nuclear and Hiro is nowhere to be seen.
Bye bye New York, bye bye Heroes.

I was wondering: if Peter can hear Claire’s thoughts, shouldn’t he be able to hear also Nathan’s?

something is really dang wrong about mrs petrelli, she sounds like pushing it a lot:D

ok, in that scene Peter can’t be Sylar, because Sylar can’t hear people’s thoughts (yet). And I don’t think Nathan is Sylar (yet). The scene (like the last two episodes) is just there to move all the heroes to where they’re supposed to be in the final episode, i.e. close to the plaza.

Anyway, we know Peter and Sylar will face off on the roof. Nathan and Ms. Petrelli watch and try to keep Claire away from Peter. But Claire jumps out of the window and runs towards Peter, telling him that the future can be changed.

Then Peter and Sylar fight for about half an hour, somehow the bomb goes off but it’s not as bad as in the possible future we saw.
We also know that Sylar must have a plan to make everybody think he dies in the explosion, so that he can sneak up on Nathan, take his brain, probably killing his mom too and become president.

infelt: good point and it also makes you wonder how come future Peter didn’t know Nathan was Sylar.

it also makes you wonder how come future Peter didn’t know Nathan was Sylar

Even that is a great question.

One possibility is that, since Peter (like Matt) needs to be pretty close to a person in order to hear their thoughts, ‘future Peter’ was never allowed to go near the President (Nathan/Sylar), or at least close enough to hear his thoughts.

Or the writers just did another SNAFU (like they just did with the “Molly/ Mohinder/ Mohinder’s sister” continuity)

is it just me, or did this sneak peek show significantly less interesting stuff than previous ones have shown?

Yeah, they often give their best clips out on Thursday or Fridays.

Everyone has questions about candaces power. She’s an illusionist which I wold imagine is telepathic. Micah was wrong when he said, “You bend light for people to see what you want them too.” that doesn’t answer how she changes her voice tone. Or the whole micah running around building.

As far as the bomb goes, I’m totally lost, my only theory that still is functional is that the bomb will go off but at the last minute hiro will go back in time to the earlier years. So I think the bomb does go off to set up for next season. It sorta makes this whole season pointless though. I guess next season they’ll dive further into the company and the bigger plan of things.

Eric: why “it sorta makes this whole season pointless?”

good morning all

It’s my first post. No more lurking. Dunno how Candace’s power works exactly, but it’s more like Mastermind than Mystique (to borrow from Marvel comics). I suspect that she ‘casts’ her illusions that effect people on all five senses. However, perhaps that could extend to machinery or technology.

Because if she could not, then in the dark future when Sylar has her brains from breakfast as soon as he (as president Nathan Petrelli) stood in front of a television camera, then everyone who was not in the immediate area would clearly see someone else.

Go figure…

Also, to throw a wrench in the works in the dark future the yet un-named Haitian is working for the US administration. If that was the case, as soon as he walked into a room or used his power-nullifying-power nearby president Nathan Petrelli would not it be revealed that it is Sylar and not the flying man?

Do you see the way Ms. Petrelli puts her hands on Nathan’s back? Her power must be the power of persuasion. He is clearly torn over the issue but she puts her two hands on him to push into him what she thinks he must do.

Not exactly. Remember when Sylar had the ability to stop Hiro even though he had stopped time? I think Sylar is mentally stronger than the Hatian, and can avoid being discovered. Only Peter and Hiro working together can stop Sylar because Peter can be as strong as Sylar when they are close, and Hiro can be the X-Factor.

@blacksmith
I agree with you about Candice ability is closer to Mastermind than Mystique. The trick she played with Michas mind proved it. Sylar in the future could have gotten Michas ability to communicate with technology. Haitian is a mysterious person that works for many people but mostly for his own good. He has also some magic abilities -that was hinted by Kring during a press conference at a comicbooks convention

John Finn
May 17, 2007 17:44

@blacksmith: yes, I thought about that too. If Candice is not a shapeshifter, but manipulates people’s minds, this can’t work on video. Now, future Silar pretended to be Nathan using this power. But a president is on TV all the time! How does that work? People should see it’s not him. Unless, of course, he didn’t get the power from Candice, but from a real shapeshifter, who we haven’t met yet.

@TXsensein: I noticed that too. Maybe she has the power to convince people by touching them?

btw. I still hope Ando will turn out to be somebody really special.

That’s why the Hatian is no where in any of the last couple episodes, because HE CAN stop sylar. That’s how they caught him the first time. It would make it all too easy.
Also, the only reason Sylar stopped Hiro is because he got weak emotionally.
