NBC’s and Sprint preview of Heroes episode 03.17 titled COLD WARS that airs Monday February 29, 2009 on NBC.

HEAD GAMES ENSUE AS MATT EXTRACTS THE TRUTH FROM HRG — EMMY AWARD WINNER ZELJKO IVANEK AND BREA GRANT GUEST-STAR — While being held hostage, HRG (Jack Coleman) is subjected to Matt Parkman’s (Greg Grunberg) unique brand of interrogation, revealing how he became involved with Nathan’s (Adrian Pasdar) government plot to capture those with abilities. Meanwhile, Matt’s discoveries bring Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) face-to-face with “The Hunter” (guest star Zeljko Ivanek). Sendhil Ramamurthy and Cristine Rose also star. Ashley Crow also guest stars.

MATT SHOULD PUSH NATHAN TO FLY EXPOSING HIM, LETS SEE THE HYPOCRIT RUN FROM HIS OWN MESS..PETER SHOULD GET HIS OLD POWER BACK,I LIKED SEEING THAT PETER AND SYLAR WERE EVENLY MATCHED,AS A FAN I HUNGERED FOR A COOL SYLAR PETER FIGHT-BECAUSE OF THE CHANGE I FEEL CHEATED..I WANNA SEE HIRO WITH HIS POWERS BACK, MAYBE ANDO IS A POWER BOOSTER SLASH POWER BESTOWER, OR MAYBE HE CAN REV UP A PERSON TO THE POINT OF EVOLVING AND BRINGING OUT A ABILITY THEY HAVE LOCKED INSIDE THEM, INT THE FUTURE WE SEE HIS POWER EVOLVE TO SHOOTING OUT RED THUNDER, WE STILL DONT KNOW WHAT ANDO CAN REALLY REALLY DO…
i reckon he overcharges them (regarding hiro and ando in the future) which causes an overload which renders them immobile or unconscious
Yeah, the subtitles didn’t match what was being said (go back and lip-read and you’ll see Hiro says “It was/is MY mission” and Ando replies “Then you have failed!”) and I never believed Hiro heard it properly (I mean they weren’t even speaking Japanese and do we know that Hiro checked his body to confirm it was dead or did he simply assume that cos he was knocked down and didn’t get up he was dead?).
Nobody else mentions the subtitles thing (which makes me want to bang my head against the wall), mostly cos I don’t think many people noticed, but I think there’s something going on, it’s got to be either;
a) this was a discarded concept but the editors thought no-one would lip-read what was said so they subtitled it instead. It is no longer is relevant so they need to come out and say it
b) it is an issue that WILL be brought up in the future and Hiro or someone else will discover Hiro was wrong and misheard/misunderstood what was happening
c) the writers and editors need to sort themselves out cos it’s very clear what the actors were saying (seriously go back and check!)
thats what i was thinking too! Im hoping that the “in the future” glance Hiro saw of Ando “killing” his was just him recharging him and instead of killing him. I was thinking that maybe deep down inside his power is dormant somewhere and Ando and pull it out
I believe they changed that future when they destroyed the formula. i really want peter to take parkmans ability and use it to make the hunter keep punching himself in the face.
i think ando can control people with powers
so he wanted to control hiro to use him to timetravel
i wonder when they’ll show the final doom they have to prevent like they did in the previous chapters
i defintly dont think ando can control other ppl with his powers,he can simply supercharge other evolved human abilities just like Paulette Hawkins did in the novels.
im pretty sure ando in teh future manage to take his power to a new level and create an energy blast with them just like he did on the future episode to hiro…
so far the only intresting story line i think is sylar looking for his dad,i still think he sould meet with naythan at some point and take his power take an illusion power from someone else and be the new president just like in season 1…its just another direction they can go with.
luke is also a cool addition to the cast,him and sylar realy work well.

they have really fucked it up by taking hiros powers and changing peters ability, he was much better with his old power UNSTOPABLE!!!!
i dont care what they do .. just do something with Hiro and his powers .. but give peter’s ability at least a boost .. fine he can only touch to gain an ability .. thats fine .. now he has to get personal .. but dont make it the “one at a time” shit. Like i said though .. either way is fine .. as long as its interesting enough to watch.
i think andos power is simply “safe-adrenaline” remember when claires mom got a pure dose of adrenaline and her power amplified? maybe andos power is an adrenaline that specifically enhances a persons ability not harming them. but when we saw ando in the future “killing” hiro. perhaps he learns to make his “safe-adrenaline” into regular adrenaline because if you get a certain amount of adrenaline its gonna stop your heart. which is what i believe ando did to hiro. anyone else think this is a possibility?
Ando’s power can zap people though, so it’s more like a pure energy boost/stun. The adrenaline just made Claire’s mom lose control, not gain more power, she was already really powerful with fire (train fire).
The first season’s future can’t come true though, because Sylar doesn’t have anyway to get DL’s power and Ando is still alive. I think everytime they show a future it’s a possible future and they are actually changing their own timeline, or at least were never on the other timeline (but could be). I’m really interested in what the final episode this season will be with a title like “I am Sylar”
It would be hysterical if it’s Sylar revealing himself to the public after doing something heroic and he ends up becoming the face of people with abilities haha
yeah, peter will hold one to more than one ability, he just has to take them one at a time by touch.it was kinda revealed in behind the eclipse q&a 14 he has to reconnect with his empathy. maybe claire will help.
if any of the future episodes are anything to go by Peter should be able to use more than one power at a time… my only real example is when hiro meets funky hiro in the future and looks for Peter in the bar, he’s invisible yet uses telekinesis on the glass…
there are some really cool idea’s from alot of you guy’s n i’m hoping that Ando is gonna end up being more than just a “power” battery charger for hiro…
just a stab in the dark but i’m sort of thinkin Peters power may have alternate stages 1 of which he was taught by claude, maybe his ability is slightly different depending on the way he draws on it, season 1 he seemed to have to meet a person then draw on the emotion and/or memory of that person to imitate there power, yet now he touches them and presto.
i hope it’s just a matter of time before he can figure out an alternate way to accessing more than one ability. or like parkmans. just evolve!
My god… all i want is for peter to get his powers back to how the were and then kick some serious ass!
i really think that the writers are trying to get away from abilities that make people unstoppable. Hiro stoping time traveling through time, peter having every ability on the planet. These abilities just make it hard for them to write a story because we could all be like, why didnt he just stop time and fu*k everything up. they need to do something quick though, tell us something about ando’s ability, give peter’s ability a boost, give hiro a new power.
Personally I think the writers just suck! I could come up with better storyline and not fuck up all the characters cool abilities. For instance if they don’t want Hiro to time travel so much all they have to do is bring back the clause of time traveling potentially destroying the space time continuum. Remember in season one when Future Hiro comes back to tell Peter to “Save the Cheerleader Save the world”? Future Hiro said he couldn’t stay because he was risking a rift in space and time just being there. if they introduced that in to the mix Hiro wouldn’t time travel unless it was absolutly necessary
yea but since when did causing a “riff” stop hiro from time traveling? even after he told ando he would never do it again he did it almost immediatly.
Maybe they should have him cause one, or have another Future version of himself comeback and warn him to not time travel too much, make it central to the story so he can’t just dismiss it. I am just saying they don’t have to destroy who the characters are to make an interesting story it just annoys me how the writers are destroying the main characters, Peter, Hiro, who next
I think that removing Peter’s powers (as much as it sucked) was to remove time travel completely from the show, but i dont get how people dont understand it, its not rocket science, they should give peter full power because after all this fugitive stuff has gone whl is going to stop sylar, peter is the only one powerful (or was) enough to stop him and i actually thought that was what the whole show was about peter vs sylar. but now having taken peter’s powers away sylar is still too powerful, its pretty funny when the agents keep going after him, its like as if, u aint gunna stop him give it up lol.
i think that in episode 11 (I Am Sylar, which is not the last episode, we are due 12) i think he is going to kill a major hero (or Luke) just to state that he is Sylar a monster after ultimate power, Love Heroes xxx 2 hours until Cold Wars
